French classes people ■ 4 IB around Brussels The old Queen’s Hotel, a landmark on Brussels’ main street for many years came down to make way for the new EMA supermarket, but a piece of the building will go to the new Huron County Museum in Goderich. This storefront from the poolhall and hamburger stand operated by Maggie Rutledge was acquired by the museum after it was brought to the attention by Brussels-born architect John Rutledge. Marilyn Higgins 887-6754 s Visiting Karl and Betty Keggen- hoff over the Christmas holidays was their daughter Anna Luise Keggenhoff from Frankfurt Ger­ many. Winners of the draw at McCut­ cheon Grocery for Christmas were: Mrs. Alma Watson, Mrs. Hazel Matheson and Ralph Pearson, all winners of fruit cakes and Mrs. Rose Marie Bishop, winner of a box of turtles. conclude The last Conversational French I class was held at the home of Mrs. Winona Martin. The usual lesson was taught, then the members performed monologues and some dialogues were presented. All provided hilarity with special costumes and a puppet etc. Sandra Billson gave the Nativity Storey in French. She also showed slides of Quebec City. The teacher, Mrs. Billson of Goderich, brought special French Tortiere Meat Pies and the hostess provided other smorgasbord items. This made a joyful time of fellowship. Students enjoyed the French Course and look forward to more classes in the future.
