working on a souvenir book for the 25th annual reunionfor the past two and a half years. It s on
sale now.

undertaken for the 25th annual
Huron Pioneer Thresher Re
union is the publishing of a
souvenir book to mark the first
quarter century of the organiza
tion.
The book has been two and a
half years in the planning
stage, says Marian Hallahan,
secretary of the Association. It
was at the 1984 annual meeting
of the Association that she
brought up the idea of the book
and the members felt it was a
good idea.
After that it was the problem
of trying to gather the material.

didn’t yield a lot of information
so she began writing and
phoning people who had been
involved in the show to get them
to contribute pictures or stor
ies.
Afterthishard spade work
nearly everyone who has been
closely involved with the
Reunion over the years has
some contribution in the book.
The book is filled with
photographs of people and
equipment that have been
part of the show over the years.
Altogether there are 62 pages
of photos and memories in the
book.
The Association produced

500 copies of the volume. It is
now on sale at $5 and will be
available at the registration
table at the Reunion as well as
at souvenir tables. At a recent
meeting of the Assocation, 35
copies were quickly grabbed up
and there has been a steady
stream of people to Mrs.
Hallahan’s door seeking cop
ies.
Also included in the book is a
completelistofthe member
ship of more than 200 in the
Association in 1985.
