In deciding to completely revamp the show with a new cast, new director and new set, the Festival took a big risk, and won. What all this proves first and foremost is how funny a writer Ms. Curran is. The faces of the cast change and the interpretations of the roles change but those zingy Curran lines still sneak up on you and catch you by surprise. Layne Coleman who has made himself a part of the Festival as an actor, writer and director, guides the cast through the production in a clean, efficient manner, for the most part letting the comedy come out by itself, not resorting to slapstick or mugging.
