Here a mother helps her youngsters get used to the water. Congregations honour Carpentiers on 40th anniversary anniversary BEST RATE Sauve Sunday, August 17, was a very special day in the lives of Reverend and Mrs. Charles Carpentier. Forty years ago in Antwerp, Belgium, they exchanged wedding vows, first in a civil ceremony and later in their local Anglican Church with 20 members of the family present. They left the church in a carriage drawn by two white horses and proceeded to the Carpentier family home for the reception. This pastSunday duringthe service, Linda Thomas and Bonnie Jackson dedicated their duet “O Perfect Love” to them. The chancel was decorated with gladioli from Elea nor Hemingway ’ s garden and from the Bauer and Bryans families. Following the service a recep tion was held in the Sunday School auditorium. Greeting people at the door were Alma Watson, Clerk of Session, Brussels United and George Pearson, Clerk of Session, Ethel United.
