Rosemarie Bishop led in prayer and scripture was read from St. Luke chapter 22 verses 39 - 53. The Easter message entitled "Good or Grim" delivered by Isabel Adams asked the question, Why is the day of Jesus' crucifixion called "Good" Friday? It is believed to be a corruption of "God's" Friday and it could be called Good because it is so quickly followed by the joy of Easter Sunday. In most churches sad services of remembrance are held at this time of year when the story of Jesus' mock trial and journey to Calvary are narrated followed by His rising three days later. Kathleen Semple took charge of the business. Plans to cater to a 60th anniversary dinner and Open House were discussed. May 28 was chosen as the date for the annual May Time Supper.
