A potluck dinner was enjoyed
by the members of the W,M.S.
for their Decemb er meeting at
the home of Mrs. Gordon Engel.
Eleven members and three
visitors attended the meeting.
Mrs. Engle, the President opened
the meeting with the Hymn,
"Away in a Manger", with Mrs.
Claire Veitch at the piano.
The roll call was each member
contributing a Christmas reading
or poem. Mrs. Earl Dunn read
Luke 2:verses 1-20. Other reading
included "White Christmas".
"The Eternity of Christmas",
"Christmas in a Family Day,"
"Christmas Thoughts," followed
by carol singing led by Mrs.
Leslie Knight.
"The First Census" and "The
Poinsetta" were also read, and
the president led in prayer. Mrs.
Leslie Knight, secretary, read the
minutes and a thank you. Mrs.
Veitch gave her report and
members had exceeded their
objective by a subStantial
amount, and have a good amount
in the expense fund to begin
1977.
A newsletter from "Armagh"
was read by Mrs. Wilfred
Strickler and it was agreed to
donate ten dollars for their
Christmas. Members reported
sending 17 cards and Making 16
visits to sick and shut-ins,
Mrs: john Vanass will act as
secretary for 1977 and Mrs. Jack
knight will be her assistant': The
Annual., itieeting of Stratford
Presbyterial• will be in ,St.
Andrews Church on January 11,
Several carols were sung before
the closing Hymn and -prayer.
Mts. John SChnock was
admitted to tistowel Memorial
Hospital on Saturday.
