Bluevale WMS sees play
Mrs. Wayne Baswick was
hostef.v when the December
,neeting of the Women's
Missionary Society of Knox
Presbyterian Church was held at
he manse. Lunch was served
prior to the meeting by the
clostess, assisted by Mrs. Alex
MacTavish and Mrs. Joe Walker.
Mrs. Ross Gray had charge Of
devotions which were in the form
of a play entitled "The Birth of
Jesus". Scripture was read and
carols sung at different intervals
throughout the play. A tape
recording of "Away in a Manger"
by Susan Elston was one of the
numbersduring the dialogue.
Those taking part in the play
were Mary Ellen Elston, Sheila
Walker, Jacqualine Robertson,
Sherry Ann Robertson, Melody
Brewer and the Dorsch sisters.
A vote of thanks was extended
by Mrs. Glenn Golley to Mrs.
Gray and the girls for the most
interesting devotions which
renewed the true meaning of
Christmas. Mrs. ,Golley also
thanked Mrs. Baswick for sharing
her home.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read by Mrs. Glenn
McKercher. Roll call was
answered by 15 members, each
giving a comment on the topics of
the. year. Visits to the sick were

'Carol Wheeler won a
Portable T.V. at a draw in St.
Catharines. All the skaters who
competed at Sectionils received a
free ticket. -

dedicated. The mite boxes were
collected and used stamps were
turned in.
