Members of the Institute, not anxious to do it all, asked the audience to participate in a story, entitled "Betty Boop, Popeye and The Wolfe." Met. Allan. Campbell gave a humourous. reading entitled "A Mother's Letter to a Newfie Son." The closing number was the Institute's verison of "Hee Haw". All members participated, each one playing a rythm band instrument and dressed like a man or woman on the television show. Santa Claus made his appearance shortly after, giving each child a bag of candies. The Presbyterian Sunday School room was filled on Sunday afternoon when the audience enjoyed a program' of .recitations, piano solos, skits, step dancing and carol singing. Mrs. Wayne Baswick was chairman. The members opened the concert with several Christmas carols, asking the children in the audience to join in singing "Away in a Manger." Recitations were given by children of the community, Donna Johnston, Kevin Schmidt, Marjorie Campbell, Mark Breckenridge, Steven Johnston"; Tracy Jarvis and Greg Moffatt. Some lively step dancing was enjoyed when Sandra Moffatt, Joanne Shaw and Debbie Johnston gracedcentre stage and later when four McMichael sisters, Janice, Karen, Judith and Rhonda entertained. A play, "A Slight Mistake" was acted by Mrs. William de Vos, Mrs. Alex MacTavish, Mrs. Robt Peel and Mrs. Wendell The children and teachers of he Sunday School were in charge ,)f the. White Gift service at the United Church on Sunday morning. Arlene Johnston' and Alan Campbell were the leaders with Elaine Campbell, Timmy Darlow, .Caren Johnston, Valerie Johnston, Greg Campbell, Paul Johnston and June Stamper , assisting. The scripture reading was given by Murray Hastings, Mrs. i Alan Campbell sang the solo, "Little Lord.Jesus is Born." Mrs. Gaol $ up also gave -a skit, Santa. Madill Secondary .khool, Wingham 'for Wingham and •Area 4-H girls. Bluevale 1 "Cereal Nuts" displayed an exhibit with Susan Chapman as commentator. A skit, "The Parade of Nations" was 'acted by "The Cooking Crumbs" of Bluevale 11. 'Wild Oats," also put on a skit, "The Grand Debate" by Bluevale Wingham, Provincial 11. were awarded to Vicky Leaders from Bluevale and area 1, Bluevale, Vicki Steckl were, Mrs. Dordthy Thompson; Bluevale, Twyla Dicks( Mrs. Marie Campbell, Mis's Vicky Wroxeter. Peel, Miss Vicky Steckley, Miss ' Advanced Honour; Joanne Schmidt and Mrs. Colleen awarded to Mrs. Grace I Robertson. 1, Wroxeter and Mr: County Honours were awarded Moffat, RR 4, Winghat to Marilyn.
