Tijrkey can be
a money saver
Remember to remove the
stuffing from the turkey
immediately after the meal is
served. if you don't plan on using
it right away; refrigerate it and
use it within two days.
Turkey and Stuffing Ball,
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons fat
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
% cup skim milk powder
11/2 cups water
2 cups bread stuffing from
turkey
2 cups cubed cooked turkey
cup bread crumbs
tablespoon melted margarine
Saute onion and celery in fat
Until onion is transparent Stir in
flour ; salt; pepper and skim milk
powder Oraditally add Writ( gtit
and cook tititil smooth and thick.
Spread half the stuffing in°
greased baking dish. CoVer with
half of turkey then half of sauce.
Repeat layers. Toss bread 'crumbs
in melted margarine Sprinkle
Oa. casserole. Bake at 350°F
Until lightly browned (25 to 30
Minutes): 6 servings.

following the Annual Meeting of
Gay Lea Foods Co-Operative Ltd.,
held in Guelph on December 7,
Walter Hamel of Elmwood, was
elected President. Mr. Hamel
owns and operates a dairy farm in
Bruce County
Russell McCutcheon of Owien
Sound was elected 1st Vice-
President and Robert Turner of
Owen Sound was elected 2nd
Vice-President. Re-elected to the
Board in December were Howard
Wilson, Owen Sound; David
Ireland, Teeswater; Mel Proud,
Tara and John Campbell,
irtayfield. Remaining directors
are: Bert Tuintjer, Laurel; Gerald
O'Grady, Listowel.
At the annual meeting which
preceded the election, Retiring
' President Mel Proud said thq the
business of Gay Lea Foods
Co-operative continued to expand
and diversify, showing increased
volume of 28% over the previdfis
year. Mr. Proud also explained
that it was now necessary for the
co-operative, to comply with the
Co-operative Corporations Act of
Ontario.
T.E.Brady, Executive Vice-
President And General Manager,
announced an increase in sales
from $72 million to, $92 million
and net earnings of $478,000
compared with $1,030,000 in
1975.
