Mr. William Bennett was a
patient in. Clinton Hospital then
removed to Victoria' Hospital,
London on Saturday where heis to
undergo surgery.
Mrs. Edna McDonald has taken
up residence at the Senior
Citizens apartments in Brussels.
Miss Jane Leeming of Toronto
spent the weekend at the home of
her father, W.J.Leeming. Mrs:
Mary Brady and girls of London
also visited at the same home.
Mr. and. Mrs. Ro fly Achilles
visited on .Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Jerry Achilles. and Debbie in
Fergus.
Mr „Gerald Watson is a patient
in Wingham. Hospital , his friends
and neighbors hope he is soon•
much improved.
Mr. and Mrs. John Currie and
Rhonda of Brampton and Tracey
Bennett of Walton visited
Saturday evening with Mr. and

evening in the Walton.

singing of several of the favourite
Christmas Carols, assisted by
Mrs. McG a vin at the piano: The
euchres will • resume after the
holiday season.
Huronview residents
shop Christmas Fair
The annual Christmas Fair was held on Monday which
gives the residents an opportunity to do some shopping. The
gifts were displayed on tables in the Auditorium. The event is
sponsored by the Huronview Auxiliary with gifts and
donations from several grOups in the County. Tea and cookies
were served in the craft room in the afternoon by the
Auxiliary.
Twenty members of the Clinton Old Tyme Club entertained
on iFamily Night with a program of music and dancing. The
evening brought back many happy memories to the residents
who hadn't seen some of the old tyme dances for forty years
such as the waltz country, French minuet, waltz quadrill, barn
dance, etc. Marie Flynn arranged the program and shared the
piano accompaniment with Mary Broadfoot, Frank Forrest
and, Nomran Speir played violin. Harold Black and Hugh
Hodges guitar, Andy Orr 'saxaphone and Bob Glenn did the
calling. Elsie Henderson and Nelson Lear sang a duet during
intermission.
Mrs. Hugh Love was welcomed to the Over 90 Club at their
December meeting. Mrs. Myrtle Parker and Ethel Hill
accompanied at the piano for a Carol Sing led by the
Walkerburn volunteers. Everyone joioned in singing Happy
Birthday to. Miss Mary Turner who celebrates her 100th
birthday this month and Mrs. Florence Meston played a piano
solo. "
Ten. residents enjoyed a bus trip on Wednesday' afternoon
to Simcoe to see the Chilstmas decorations. The trip was
arranged by the Clinton Radar Club and was very successful.

The Walton' Unit held their
December meeting in form of a
Christmas Party when Copper
Contest leader Mrs. Walter
. Bewley of the losing side
entertained" Mrs. Emerson
Mitchell , leader of the winning
side and other members of the
unit and guests on Thursday
evening. The basement of the
church was prettily decorated in
the traditional Christmas spirit.
A Christmas Skit was given
with tarts taken by Mrs. Ray
Huether, Mrs. Gerald Watson
and Mrs. Howard Hackwell.
Mrs. Gordon Murray and Mrs.
Roily Achilles were in charge of
the gift exchange.
Mrs. Ron gpnnett presided for
a few items of business. Mrs.
Allan McCall and Mrs. Wm.
Thamer offered ' to be copper
contest leaders for next year.
Mrs. Bill Coutts conducted a
couple of contests, then closed
with naming the Christmas songs
assisted by Mrs. Huether at
the piano.
Church Service ,
Sunday morning church service
at Duff's United Church, third
Sunday in Advent was entitled
"A Celebration of the preparation
for Christ's coming.
Welcoming worshippers to the
service and giving out the order of
service sheets were Mr. and
Mrs. Allan Searle.
Rev. Ed. Balker spoke "God.
seeks his people". The choir sang
the anthem, "There is a voice in
the wilderness" with Mrs. Ian
Wilbee at the organ. The offering
was received by Alvin McDonald,

Huether.
