Ross Taylor, representative from
the Township to Maitland V alley
at their meeting on December 2.
Mr. Taylor gave a financial report
on the property owned by the
Maitland Valley Conservation
Authority in east 'Wawanosh.
Building permits were
ipproved and issued to Robert
Peck, addition to shed and Win.
Versteeg, implement shed.
A severance for John Stein was
recommended for approval.
The township signed an
agreement with Hobo Siertsema,
Lot 35, Conc. 2, re the
reforestation scheme of 10-acres,
as requested by the Ministry of
Natural Resources: •

A grant of $111.25 was given to
the East Wawanosh Recreation

Board for park costs,
Road Accounts of $2,288.74
and the General Accounts of

and paid,
Morningstar Rebekah Lodge
held the regular meeting in Lodge
Hall. There was a very good
' attendance of members and one
visitor.
Reports on sick members was
given and thank you cards read.
Donations of money were to be
sent to War Memorial Childrens
Hospital London and Canadian
Institute for the Blind.
After routine business an
exchange of gifts revealed who
the Secret Sisters were for 1975
and new names were drawn for
1976. Lodge closed.
At the ChristMas party all
joined in singing Christmas
Carols led by Barb McCutcheon
and accompanied at the piano by
Verna Thomas. Joan Exel sang 0
Holy Night accompanied by Mrs.
W. King Sr.
A Christmas card puzzle was
enjoyed by all present. A group of
square dancers entertained. It
was announced they had come
quite a distance. Sure a long way
from last year. Their dancing was
enjoyed by all.
Barb McCutcheon and her
Famous Players entertained with
a play, A night of rest for Father:
This too was enjoyed by all. After
singing More Carols, Santa arriv-
ed and after some affectionate
greetings he distributed gifts.
Mrs. Baeker of Grand Bend, drew'
the winning ticket for the Afgan
and pillow made and donated by
Florence Webb: Mrs. Joan Edgar
of Listowel was winner. Joe
Adams won a 4 piece Bath
ensemble also donated by Mrs.
Webb. Debbie Van Vleit won a
Christmas arrangement donated
by Leona Connely,
The lunch committee served a
smorgasborg lunch and Sister
Elsie Evans Was presented with a
lovely poinsetta and the Members
enjoyed a cake in honour of her
birthday. The social committee
