Brussels Optimists will sponsor
a snowmobile poker rally on
Sunday, January 25, they decided
at a recent meeting.
Members heard that plans for
the third annual atom hockey
tournament in March are moving
right along. The Optimist
tournament is one of the biggest
in Ontario.
Optimists welcomed Herman
Plaas as a new member. They are
having a draw for a side of beef at
their snowmobile rally. Another
"Canadian Grafitti" is planned
for August.
On Saturday night the service'
club is having its Christmas party
with a dinner and, a visit from
Santa, followed by dancing.

Mrs. May Thornton, who • has
been seriously ill for the past two
weeks and is a patient in the
Kitchener.. Waterloo hospital is
greatly improved and may be able
to return to her apartment. in the
near future.
Gordon Jacklin who has been a
patient in the Listowel Hospital
for twelve days as the result of an
accident at work was able to
return• to his home in Walton on
Saturday.
