Following the supper hour the
president, Mrs. Charlie Scanlon
of Londesboro, took charge of the
meeting. We were favoured with
songs by little Lisa Bosman and
Lori Jewitt which were enjoyed by
all.
Special prizes were given by
Abner Nethery of Wingham to the
oldest person present; twin
brother and -sister, Albert
Nethery of Hamilton and' Mrs.
Mary E. McGill of Clinton, and to
the 'person coming the longest
distance; Mrs. Murray Nesbitt of
Hailebury, Ontario. The youngest
baby present was Kelly' Boman
of Londesboro, Ontario.
A vote of thanks was given to
Percy Barker of Goderich, for the
annual gifts of salt which were
received by all present and to
Alex Nethery of Burlilngton fOr a
treat of 'watermelon to the
children.
Officers elected for next year
were: President - Donald J.
Nethery of Toronto; and secretary
treasurer Mary Isabel Nethery of
Belgrave, Ontario.
The meeting closed by singing
"Auld Lang Syne".

their piano exams, Joanne
Coultes, Grade 6; Sheila
Anderson, Grade 5, and Kelly
Lougheed, Grade 4.
Congratulations to the girls.
Mrs. Robert Procter will be the
new librarian for Belgrave
starting July 5th. Hours will be
from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. until
November.

served and an hour of fellowship
was enjoyed.

basement of the United Church in
Belgrave on Saturday evening,
June 21st for a miscellaneous
shower, in honor of her wedding
which -takes place later this
month.
Lorna was escorted to the front
by her mother, Mrs. Kenneth
Mason, her sister Wanda, Mrs
Williamson, mother of the groom
and Carol Williamson, his sister.
Miss Janet Beecroft was
pianist for the evening and Mrs.
Donald Dow presided for a short
program which consisted of a solo
by Alice Beecroft, two readings
by Lori Jamieson and contests
conducted by Mrs. Gordon
McBurney and Mrs. Dow.
The bride's book was prepared
by all the ladies and children
present.
Alice Beecroft read an address
to Lorna which had been prepared
by Mrs. Gilbert Beecroft.
Evelyn Bieman and Alice
Beecroft presented the gifts and
Marlene McGee made a very
becoming hat with the bows.
eorna thanked everyone for
their lovely gifts and also the
ladies who had planned the
shower.
Lunch was then served
bringing to an end a very
delightful evening.

The 30th annual Nethery
Reunion was held on June 28th,
1975 at the community hall,
Londesboro, Ontario with 65
signing the register.
Sharon and Judy Ives of Blyth

were enjoyed by all.

proposed entranceway. The offer
will be presented to lawyer

have been awarded for the
renovations of the former Dublin
Continuation School and the
Ursuline Order residence to
provide board offices for the
Huron-Perth County
Catholic Separate School Board.
F.J.Vere, Stratfor d, chairman of
the building and maintenance
committee reported the
renovations were within the
budget allowed ($30,000) at a
meeting of the board in. Seaforth
Monday night.
The tenders are as follows:
Electrical --awarded to Goderich
Electric, $5,867;plumbing--
awarded to LeBeau's Plumbing,
Goderich, $3,320; carpet--John
Bettrldge, Stratford, $4,472;
decorating, Ralph Schellen-
berger, Sebringville, $8;832;
Terrazzo floor--Bernardo Marble,
London, $2,774; and
miscellaneous carpentry (tinie'
and Material) will cost about
$2,500 and drapes; $2,000.
