FOX Sylvester C. Fox passed away in Goderich Hospital on Thursday April 3rd. in his 92nd year. He was born in Henfryn and grew up in the Cranbrook and Brussels areas. He was a teamster for the late Philip Ament until the factory closed, and did custom ploughing for many years. He then went into business selling implements and parts for the International Harvester of Canada; and he delivered express for the C.N.R. until his' retirement. Mr, Fox was married to the former Matilda McCutcheon who predeceased him in 1941. Surviving are five children; Russell Fox of London; Viola, Mrs. Harry Bowler ,s London; Vera, Mrs. Dave Hastings, Ethel; Mrs. Joe Brewer, and Mary, Mrs. Jack Lowe; all of Brussels. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One brother Art of Alliston and two sisters, Mrs. Mina McCracken of Bluevale, and Mrs. Margaret Adams of Wroxeter. Two sisters and one brother and his second wife Mrs. Lillian Rovvles predeceased him. Resting at the M.L. Watt Funeral Home where services were held on Monday, April 7 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Eric LeDrew officiating. Temporary entombment at Brussels Cemetery Chapel. Pallbearers were his five grandchildren; Murray and Wayne Lowe, David Hastings, Jim Bosman, Jim Allison, and his nephew Dewitt Adam. Flower bearers were his four great grandchildren; Sandra Huether, and David, Darryl, and Donald Hastings. MISS ELIZABETH MOSES Miss Elizabeth (Besiie( Moses, a resident of Brussels for the past 28 years, died on Wednesday, April 9 following an illness of about 2 months when she was' in the Wingham District Hospital and later in the Nursing Home, Brussels. She was born in Morris Township, March 27, 1889, a daughter of the late William Moses and his wife Elizabeth Rees. She was a graduate of Stratford Normal and taught at Barker School and Fulton School in Grey township and in the Ramsay School in Morris Township. In April, 1947 she and her brother, William . moved to Brussels where she lived until her death. A sister, Rachel Brigham, and two brothers, James and William predeceased her. Miss Moses was a devoted member of Melville Presbyterian Church, interested in all of its activities, especially Missions. When ill-health prevented her attendance at services, she took great pleasure in writing topics and meditations to' be used in programs. She was a personal friend of several overseas missionaries and contributed generously to their work. She is siurvived by 2 nephews and 3 nieces. Rev. E.G. Nelson of First Church, Seaforth conducted her funeral service on Saturday, April 12 at the M. L. Watts Funeral Honie, Pallbearers were: W. C. King, Jack. Warwick, Melvin Jermyn, Amos Smith, Charle! BERNARD TEN PAS Bernard ten Pas (proprietor 0, Ten Pas Construction) of R.R.2 Bluevale, passed away sudden!: in Listowel Memorial Hospital or Wednesday, April 9th. Born in Wintersueyk, Holland he was sixty-three years of age On December 20th, 1935, he wa: married to Hanna Te Winkel a Winterswyk, Holland. 111 received his education in Hollan( and his occupation in early lif was carpentry. This he continue( when he came to Canada fror Holland on February 6th, 1952, The family settled in the Brussel area where he engaged in the Ten Pas Construction Compan. since that time. He was a membe of . the Christian Reforme Church, Listowel and a membe of the Chu' •rch Council. He is survived by his wife .three sons and three daughter: Hank ten Pas of Brussels; Albei ten Pas of Brussels; Mrs. Klaalj (Teresa) De Vries of Listowe, Mrs. Hank (Wilma) Mulder Guelph; Mrs. Reid (Dian( Hackwell of Exeter and Ben Ite,' Pas of Brussels.
