John's Rangers won over
Glennie's Leafs by a 4 - 2 score.
In the ChampiOnship Game for
the Jim Prior Trophy Pee Wees,
Penguins and Joe's Canucks were
tied 3 - 3 at the end of the game,
Penalty shots were then taken to
determine the winners and on the
Seventh Series of shots. The
deadlock was finally won when
Joe Adams scored and Paul
Johnson was stopped by Tom
Johnston in the

B Teams were pooled and four
teams selectod from the group as
a preliminary to a tournament
which resulted in excellent
games. In game one Pee Wees,_
Penguins were victorious over
Glennie's Leafs by a 3 - 2 margin.
In game two Joe's Canucks won 2
1 by virtue of penalty shots as
the teams were tied 1 - 1 at the

The third game on Saturday
found them playing Blyth.. In . a
decidedly closer game they
defeated Blyth 4 - 3. Todd
Wheeler scored all four goals for
Brussels with assists going to
Terry McCutcheon 3, Doug
McArter 1, Steve Knight 1.
They had to return to Mildmay
on Sunday afternoon to play the
championship game. againsts
Lucknow. They defeated the
Lucknow team 7 - 2. Terry.
McCutcheon led the Brussels
attack scoring 5 goals, Steve
Knight and Brad Wright scored
the other two goals. Assists went
to Kevin Deitner, Todd Wheeler
and Terry McCutcheon.
Terry McCutcheon was
awarded the Most Valuable
Player award after the game.
This team as champions in the
Atom "D" category will be
participating in a Grand
Championship Tournament of all
The Novice team played three
good games of hockey in Blyth
last .Saturday to win the trophy
there for their fourth straight
year.
The first game at 9;00 A.M.
placed them against Lucknow.At
the end of the second period the
home team was trailing 3 - 2 but
came back in the third to win 4 - 3.
Scoring for Brussels was Kevin
McArter 2 goals, Robbie Cardiff
and DArrin Watts, 1 each. Assists
went to Doug Shaw, Darrin
Watts, Dean Rutledge.
The second game found them
playing Clinton whom they
defeated 4 - 0. Scoring for
Brussels was Doug Shaw, Darrin
WAtts, Paul Machan and Dean
Rutledge, 1 each. Assists went to

The championship game
brought them up against their old
rivals from Milverton. The first
period was scoreless with
Brussels scoring the only goal in
the second. In the third period
both teams scored two goals each
until the last minute when
Brussels added an insurance goal
to make the final score Brussels 4
, Milverton 2.
Robbie Cardiff scored 3 goals,
and Dotig Shaw 1 with assists
going to Dean Rutledge and
Doug. Shaw.
After the last . game Kevin
McArter of Brussels and Murray
Dewar of Milverton were awarded
a hockey stick each for being the
most valuable players. champions in the Atom Division
Atoms win Mildmay Tournament ' in Arthur on April 11 - 12 - 13. We
