Ladies High prize was won by Mrs. Harry Elliott; Low Lady - Mrs. Lloyd McGee; High Man - Harvey Edgar; Low Man - Hugh Campbell; Lucky Lady - Mrs. George Brewer; Lucky Man - George .Fischer. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson and Mr. and Mrs.' Jim Johnston will sponsor the next euchre on March 0. Mr. Scott Golley and his friend Smiles The man on a business trip received a letter from his.wife. High Lady's prize was won by Jim Wilson; Low Lady - Bruce Campbell; High Man Carl Frieburger; Low Man - Jerry Frieburger; Lucky Draw ; Lloyd Taylor. The next euchre will be March 13 with Doris Adams and Alba Mundk in charge. Mrs. Jack Nicholson and Mr. J.C.Johnston are patients in the hospital. We wish them both a speedy recovery. The World's Day of Prayer will be held Friday, March 7 at 3 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church. Mrs Wayne Baswick will be guest speaker. All ladies of the community are cordially invited to attend. The Women's Institute will hold their Public Relations meeting at the home of Mrs Soren Anderson on March 12 at 2 p.m. The Roll Call is an interesting article from the Home and Country. Each member is to bring a bit of humour to the meeting. Lunch committee is Mrs. Chas. Mathers, Mrs Alex McCracken and mrs.1Alex MacTavish. Sunday School started in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. Mission Band and Explorers held their , March meeting during the church service, fo which Mr . Wayne Baswick was in charge. Personals Mrs. J.J.Elliott visited on , Thursday with Mrs. Albert Porter in Wingham and District Hospital. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Haugh and Eileen were Mr. and mrs. Carman Nixon, Lori and Andrea of London Mr. Jack Knight of Tees, Alberta, visited a few days with Golley and. Th ornton relatives in the area. Rev. R.H.Armstrong presided for the annual meeting of the Bluevale Presbyterian Church on Tuesday evening, Feb. 18th, which had been postponed the previous week due to the stormy weather. Mrs. Wm. Mundell was appointed secretary for the meeting. Reports of the various organizations were received as printed. Present membership is 126 and Sunday School enrolment is 55. All organizations of the church reported a successful year. A vote of thanks was tendered John McInnes and Larry Elliott for their work with the Sunday. School. Mrs. Glenn Snell, Ross Hoggart and Brian Warwick were elected to the Board of Managers for a three year term. Ron Boonstra was added as an assistant usher. Mrs Bernard Thomas was elected as representative to the Bible Society replacing Mrs. J.J.Elliott. Wayne Baswick, student minister was tendered 'a vote of thanks for his work since coming to this charge in July. Rev. Armstrong closed the meeting_ with prayer and a social hour followed. Mrs. Robert Johnson of Mississauga spent the past week, with Mrs. Aletha Rann and other friends. Mr. and Mrs Robert Rann and family of Cambridge-Galt spent Sunday with Mrs. Aletha Rann. Mrs. George Bone returned home from Wingham and District Cranbrook Home from Correspondent Mrs. Mac Engel John Vanass is home from a holiday with relatives in Holland. Mrs.Calvin Cameron returned home from Listowel Memorial Hospital where she was a patient for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smith enjoyed a holiday in Florida and arrived home on the weekend. Garry Williams and Miss Heidi Sivertz, London, visited Mrs. Stuart McNair on Sunday. Captain John Beer, passed away on Friday in Victoria Hospital, London, following several months of failing health. Mrs.Beer will be remembered as the former Lillian TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Rick Korda, nee Kathy Kashencho of Guelph on the birth of a son, Adam Richard, on Feb. 12. Nine ladies of the Turnberry Ladies' Aid met' at the home of Mrs. Wes Paulin on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 19. Mrs. Alex MacTavish opened the meeting reading from Matthew, Chapter 8, Verses 1-7. "The Country Mice" spent the afternoon quilting. The meeting closed with a delicious lunch served by the hostess. Mrs. Albert Porter was a dinner guest on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. J.J.Elliott. Mr. and mrs. Jack Scott and family of Newton visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hall. Mrs. Ross Mann and Mrs. J.J.Elliott visited in Clinton one day earlier in the week with Mann visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Joh n D. Mann and mrs. Elliott visiting with. Mr. and mrs. Bradley King and Mark. Mr. and mrs. BillRainy of Arkron, Ohio are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hall and other relatives in the area. H ospital Thursday of last week. Graeme McDonald is a patient in Wingham and District Hospital. Mr. and Mr.s George Bridge and Mr. and Mrs.Glen Bray left Wednesday of this week for a vacation in Florida. Holland visit Mitchell and they resided at Hensall. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Knight were on a Florida holiday the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. W.G.Elliott and Laurie visited friends in Brantford on Saturday. Visiting at the Elliott's on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn McMichael, Goderich. All ladies of the community are invited to the World's Day of Prayer Service in Knox Church at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bragg and family visited in the Brantford and .
