Saturday the 4-H Achievement Day was held at. Grey Central School, The Cranbrook Club held an exhibit, "Sandwiches for After, Noon Tea", with the commentary given by Sharon Engel. Custom •q interest for Mrs.Earl Dunn was hostess for the. Nov. meeting of the Wom- en's Missionary So- ciety of Knox Pres byterian Church with 13 present. The lea- der,Mrs.Mac Engel opened the meeting , with a poem "There's' a beautiful day at hand". With Mrs.Clare Veitch as pianist the hymn "Let Christian faith and hope dispel" was sung.The scrip- ture reading Romans 5: 1-11 was read in unison and the medi- tation given by the leader. Mrs.Calvin Cameron gave a prayer. for "Remembrance Day". The president, Mrs. Dunn presided for the business when the minutes and treasur- er's report were read. Several members who attended the 90th Anniversary at the Atwood Presbyterian Church reported on it briefly. A letter of appreciation from the Huether family was read. Members reported sending 20 cards and making 19 visits to sick and shut-ins. Mrs. Gordon Engel read a letter regarding C. 0.C. work. The roll call was a "Remem- brance" verse. The topic on the "Re- membrance" theme was given by Mrs. Leslie Knight. Mrs. M.Engel read a poem "The time to be glad". "Take up the cross the Saviour said" was sung,fol- lowed by a brief ACROSS 1.
