The first real
touch of winter des-
cended on us last
week. Thank goodness
the rain and sun
hastened its quick
departure, hopefully
it wild stay away
for 'some time .Whi le
it did last it
brought problems for
motorists. Wind-
drifted snow and icy
conditions made dri-
ving extremely haz-
ardous at times.

Some Brussels resi-
dents were having
problems with water
seeping into their
basement on Sunday.
' Workmen were busy
locating the drain
problems and correc-
ting them.
