Stonehouse Students in Ottawa Students of F.E.Madill Secondary School that are taking Canadian History were in -Ottawa for three days last week. They attended parliament for part of a day and were later greeted by Prime Minister Trudeau, Crawford Douglas, M.P. for Bruce, Robert McKinley, M.P. and Robert Stanfield M,P. Those from surrounding district included Dennis Thompson. CASEMORE—HUNTER In a setting of pink, blue and white, Joyce Merle Hunter of R.R.1, Belgrave, became the bride of Douglas Wayne Casemore of Wingham in Knox United Church, Belgrave, at four o'clock on Saturday, October 19. Rev. John Roberts officiated and the wedding party , was surrounded by candelabra, daintily decorated with pink, blue and white mums and containing lighted blue and pink tapers. Mrs. John Nixon presided at the church organ and Mrs. Barbara Vessey sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Annie's Song". Jim MacLean played "Amazing Grace" and "Atole Highlanders" on the bagpipes during the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. James Hunter of Belgrave, and was given in marriage by her father. parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Casemore of Wingham. -The bridal gown was floor-length white textured polyester patterned with roses. Teardrop pearls adorned .the neckline, bodice and sleeves. her long veil of nylon tulle was trimmed with daisies and she carried a bouquet of white daisies, pink roses and baby's breath. Mr. Rod Ansley of Kitchener was matron of honor and junior bridesmaid was the groom's sister, Karen Casemore of Wingham. They were gowned in floor-length dresses of pink polyester knit trimmed with maroon bows and tiny maroon buttons. They wore matching maroon velvet jackets with ruffles around the jackets and sleeves. The senior bridesmaids, Gwen Hunter, Wanda Riley and Gail Remington, wore floor-length gowns of pale blue polyester knit, trimmed with navy bows and buttons, with 'navy velvet jackets. All attendants carried white crocheted baskets made by the bride's grandmother, and containing mixed flowers. The baskets were edged in pink and blue, with navy and maroon velvet ribbons and bows. Owen Curtis of Wingham was best man and ushering guests were Dan Hunter of Belgrave, Bill Metcalf and Les Thompson of Wingham. Pink, blue and white pre- dominated as bells and streamers decorated the church basement, where the wedding supper was served, and the Winghath Legion Hall where a reception was held later. The bride's mother wore a dress of pink polyester crepe, floor-length With lace bodice and sleeves. The groorri's mother chose a long flowing dress and matching jacket in a melon shade. For travelling to Owen Sound, Toberniory and CollingwoOd, the bride wore a pale blue two-piece suit with blue and white polka dot trite. A white knitted cape completed her ensemble. On their return, they will reside at RAM, Belgrave. The bride is a graduate of the Wingham and District Hospital Howard Roberts, Heather Currie, Ingrid Jaretzke and Doreen Taylor. Win at Euchre Nine tables of euchre were played at the Belgrave Weekly Euchre last Wednesday evening with winners being. High Lady - Mrs. Mark Armstrong; Low Lady - Mrs.Albert Bacon; High Man -William Taylor; Low Man - Herb Clayton. Hi-C Group. Meets Belgrave Hi-C met at the home of Doreen Taylor with an Registered Nursing Assistants' Training School. Guests attended the wedding from Brantford, Troy, Mount Forest, Hamilton, Guelph and Kitchener. Honored guests were the groom's grandmothers, Mrs. Hanna Cerson and Mrs. Alma Wray and the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hunter and Mrs.James Durham. attendance of fifteen. No. 462 attended the Belgrave United Church service on Sunday morning. The Belgrave Men's Choir under the direction of Rev. John Roberts provided special music for the Wingham United Church Anniversary on Sunday evening. Mr. Roy Bonisteel of the CBC Man Alive program was special speaker. Mr. and Mrs. James Baker and baby Mark of London visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.George Michie. Several members of the Belgrave U.C.W. attended -the Fall Thankoffering of the Brussels U.C.W. on, Sunday evening. The Brussels U.C.W. Presented their canata "Amazing Grace". Mr.' and Mrs. Sam Pletch and DAvid returned home last Monday after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Max Pletch, Krista and Andrea of Dryden. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Johnson of Cresco, Penn. are spending a week with their aunt Mrs. Jessie Wheeler, also visiting with other relatives. ,Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chapman and Lisa of Weston visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightnian. Mrs.Ethel Holmes of Wingham visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.Edgar VVightman. The Huron Plowmen Association held their annual banquet in the Belgrave W.I.Hall on Friday evening. TWo 'hundred and forty men and women enjoyed a hot •turkey dinner catered by the Belgrave Women's Institute. Miss Margaret. Robinson of Kitchener visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Campbell.
