pal Electors of the Village of Brussels it
the the County of Huron that in corn
pliance with The Municipal Election
Act, 1972, the period for
NOMINATIONS in the said',
VILLAGE OF BRUSSELS
is the• period from
Thursday, Nov. 7th, 1974
until
Tuesday, Nov. 12th, 1974
at 5 o'clock in the afternoon
for the purpose of nominating fit and
proper persons for the office of Reeve,
and four Councillors to serve the Village
of Brussels; two Public Utility Com-
missioners to serve the Brussels Public
Utilities Commission. of which
all electors are hereby- requiied to take
notice and govern themselves accord-
ingly, and if a greater number of candi-
dates than- required to fill •the said of-
fices1 are nominated and make the re-
required declarations, polls will be open-
ed on the date stated below for the pur6
poses of taking the poll from 11 o'clock
in the forenoon until 8 o'clock in the af-
ternoon.

The. Lost and Found girls met
for their fourth meeting on
Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the basement
of Duff's Church. The President
conducted the business. Six girls
answered the roll call,"The
Highest Mark you've received."
The treasurer's report was given,
They had a sing-song under the
leadership of Ruth Thamer and
Carolyn McClure, followed by
several games, discussed new
business and planned for the
Hallowe'en party. Taps closed the
meeting.

Egmondville, retired United
Church minister, was in charage
of the services Sunday morning at
Knox United, Moncrief and
Duff's United Church, Walton.
We regret to hear that Mr. Jim
Shortrecd was taken to Seaforth
Hospital last week suffering from
a stroke.
Tracey and Ted Sills,. children
of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sills of
Seaforth, spent last week with
their grandmother, Mrs. Achilles,
while their parents. were on
holidays,
The W,I, card party is coming
up again this. Friday night, the
hoste.ises are Mrs. E. Stevens,
Mrs. E. Liphard, Mrs. J. Blake
and Mrs. T. Dundas.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Searle
accompanied by Mr, and Mrs.
Ross Duncan of Brussels arrived
home last Thursday from a
holiday with their daughter and
son, Helen and Jim Duncan, also
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Duncan at
Russell, Manitoba.

United Church attended the
U,C.W. Thankoffering Service at
Knox United Church, Moncrief on
Sunday evening, when the
"Bradley Family" from Clinton
were special guests.

weekend near Port Credit where
they attended an event for
couples at the Queen of the
Apostles Renewal Centre.
Mrs. James Daley of Blenheim.
spent the weekend at,the manse
with Kristen and Mark.
