The seven-thirty evening cere-
y was performed by the Rev.
d Carson in a setting of
skets of yellow and bronze
ds, mums, shasta daisies and
delabra.
The bride is the daughter of

R, 2, Bluevale. Mr. and Mrs.
ex Corrigan of R. R. 1, Bluevale
parents of the groom.
The wedding music was played
Miss Nancy Adams with "0
feet Love" during the signing
the register.
The bride, given in marriage by
r father, was gowned in
ctorian style floor-length white
epe fashioned with leg -of-
utton sleeves and trimmed with
colleted lace, and floor-length
in. A Juliet headpiece, made
the bride, adorned with
atching lace, held her three-tier
apel veil. She carried a caseade
uquet of yellow roses and
ephanotis.
Mrs. Thelma Roberts of Ottawa
as her sister's matron of honor.

Mrs. Sue Gowing, sister-in-law of
the bride, both of Brussels. They
wore floral wrap-around gowns
with shawl collars. Their bou-
quets were yellow shasta daisies
and tangerine pompom mums.
Robert Corrigan of London was
the groom's Best Man.
Guests were ushered by Barry
O'Krafka and Ken Gowing of
Bluevale.
At the reception held in the
Brussels Legion Hall, the bride's
mother received the guests in a
floor-length blue flowered chiffon
A-line gown with matching coat.
Her corsage was yellow roses.
She was assisted by the mother
of the groom in a floor-length silk
polyester gown in autumn shades
with corsage of yellow roses.
The Legion Hall was decorated
for the occasion with candelabra
and baskets of yellow and bronze
mums and .glads. The bride's
table was centred with a three-
tier wedding cake decorated with
white and yelloW roses.
The bride chose a pale blue
linen pantsuit with corsage of
blue mums for her travelling
costume.
' The couple will reside at R. R.
Is, Bluevale.
The bride is a graduate of
Victoria Hospital School of Nurs-
ing, London. The groom is a
graduate of Centralia College of
Agricultural Technology.
Out-of-town guests were in
attendance from Lucan, North
Bay, London, Blyth, Ottawa,
Ethel, —Downsview, Wingham,
Cambridge, Orillia, Ancaster,
Toronto, Brantford, Goderich,
Exeter, Clinton, Rexdale, Scar-
borough, Zurich, Blackstock,
Winona, Clinton, Belgrave, Wal-
ton, Milverton and Bluevale.
Pink and white mums in a
candelabra setting enhanced the
ceremony uniting the marriage of
Linda J. Sharpin and Kenneth J.
Hopper on Saturday, September 7
at seven o'clock. Rev. Wesley
Ball officiated and organist Mrs.
Edwin Martin played "Morning
has Broken" and We've Only
Just Begun."
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Sharpin of
Wroxeter. The groom is the son of
Mrs: Stanley Hopper of R.R. 5,
Brussels and the late Mr. Hop-
per. Mr. Sharpin gave his
daughter in marriage.
The bride chose a chapel-
length gown of angel-skin peau
de Soie and imported chantilly
lace. The dress featured a fitted
bodice with pearls and a ruffled
pinafore effect. Long fitted
sleeves were accented ,with ruf-
fled cuffs and a .hemline ruffle
was trimmed with matching
chantilly lace. Her hand beaded
lace headpiece held in place • a
fingertip nylon illusion veil edged
with chantilly lace. She carried' a
bouquet of pink carnations, white
baby's breath and fern..
Miss Jean Pellett of .Wroxeter
was maid of honor and brides-
maids were Mrs. Glenis King of
Stratford and Miss Wanda Davi-
son of Pilot Mound, Manitoba.
They wore pink and white ging-
ham dresses with short sleeves.
Lace accented the V-neckline and
ruffled hemline. A gingham sash
adorned the empire waistline and
tied at the back. Each attendant
carried a basket of pink carna-
tions and white shasta daisies
with touches of fernery.

Alex Gulutzen of R.R.3,
Walton, Ontario, passed away in
Victoria Hospital, London on
Friday, October 4th, 1974. He
was in his 68th year:
Born in Saskatchewan where he
received his early education and
married the former Albina
Stratychuk, he came to this
district in 1936. He was a member
of Duff's United Church, Walton.
Surviving along with his wife
are two sons, Michael of Grey
Township and Alex Jr. of Walton,
and eight grandchildren. Also
surviving are nine brothers, John
of Porcupine, Sask.; Mike of.
Buchanan,Sask.;Nick of Hud-
:son's ' Bay,Sask.;Edward of
;Buchanan,Sask.; Charles of
;Canora, Sask.;Stephen of
;Thompson, Manitoba, and Paul,
:Joe and Walter of Buchanan,
:Sask.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen
Boychuk of Yorkton, Sask.; Mrs.
Dora Homenuck, Canaro, Sask.;
Mrs. Tillie Marchuk, Sarnia,

Tillsonburg, Ontario.

Whitehead of Belgrave and the
groom's brother, Gary Hopper of
R.R. 5, Brussels.
Brussels Legion Hall was, de-
corated in pink and white for the
reception which followed at nine
o'clock. The head table held the
wedding cake topped with flowers
with pink and white candles on
each side.
The bride's mother wore a
floor-length mint green dress
with lace trim on the neckline and
matching lace/ set in the short
sleeves. The groom's mother
chose a floor-length - princess
style gown of powder blue
polyester crepe.
For travelling to Northern
Ontario, the bride wore a two-
piece outfit with a flowered smock
top and light blue pants. Her
accessories were white.
Mr. and Mrs. Hopper will
reside in Wingham where the
bride Will be attending F. E.
Madill Secondary School.
Guests attended the wedding
from Gorrie, Wroxeter, James-
town. Brussels, Belgrave, Blue-
vale, Wingham, Ethel, Walker-
ton, Kitchener, Listowel, Tiver-
ton, Tceswater, Beamsville,
Goderich, Exeter, Corunna,
Fordwich, Molesworth, Ux-
bridge, Owen Sound, Pilot.
Mound of Manitoba, Stroud,
Barrie and Stratford.
Guests of honor were Mr. and
Mrs: Morrison Sharpin of Wing-
ham, grandparents of the groom;
Mrs. Gladys Gorrcll of Pilot
Mound, great-aunt of the bride;
Mr. and Mrs. Tindall McKercher
of Molcsworth, %great:aunt and
uncle of the bride.
He was predeceased by two
sisters, Mrs Annie Prasok,
Yorkton, Sask. and Mrs.. Kate
Kastinuck, Corinth, Ont.
Funeral services were• held
from the M.L.Watts Funeral
Home, Brussels, at 1:00 p.m. on
Monday, October 7th. Rev'. D.
Docken was the officiating
minister.
Pallbearers were Ross Bennett,
Hugh Johnston, Harvey Craig,
George Williamson, Roy
Williamson and Morley Nichols.
Flower bearers were seven
grandchildren. ,
Burial took place in Brussels

The October meeting of
Majestic Institute was opened by,
the ' President, Mrs. Earl
Cudmore with the welcome, ode
and collect. Miss Laura Lucas
read the minutes followed by two
delightful piano solos by Brian.,
Armstrong.
An invitation was received from
Sr. 4-H Club to a Hallowe'en
party on October 22nd in the
Anglican Church 7 p.m.
The 35th anniversary of the
Institute is to be celebrated in the
United Church with a banquet at
7 p.m. with program to follow.
Card parties will st art on the
first Monday night in the month,
November 4th being the first in'
the Library, 8:15.
The school on "Nutrition" is to
be held in Wroxeter Town Hall on
November 5, 10; '.m. - 4 p.m.
Bring a friend and lunch.
Mrs. Carl Hemingway gave a
report on Huron County Rally
held in Brussels on Monday.
It was announced that the Area
Convention is to be held
November 25 — 26 at Bingeman
Lodge, Kitchener.
Mrs. Donna Knight took the
chair for the program on
Education and Cultural Activities.
A good attendance answered the
roll call on "How you would like
to spend your leisure time, if the
household chores were all caught
up."
Mrs. Douglas Hemingway gave
the motto "It's the song you sing
and the smile you wear that
makes sunshine everywhere" and
stressed the value of a smile.
Mrs. Leon Armstrong
introduced Mrs. Walter Hackbart
who had a very interesting
display of her handicarafts and
showed how to make several.
Mrs. Johnston had a display of
her daughters, Barbara and
Karen's work in painting and
sewing which they had shown at
the fair.
An auction followed with Mrs.
'Cudmore as auctioneer. Gifts
were presented to the guests.
