Break-Bven Costs Chart Aids
Beef Turnover Beeisions,
It you've been spending hours
calculating the price you must get
for y our beef in order to break
even, or the price you can afford
to pay for feeders, you may be
glad to hear of a break-even costs
chart, developed by Oklahoma
State University researchers and
modigied for Ontario conditions,
According to Ministry livestock
specialist R.E.Maeartney, if your
cost of gain is between 15 and 80
cents a pound -and your buying
and selling prices are between 20
and 85 cents a pound, you can
quickly find your break-even
selling and purchasing prices
with 'this chart.

Huron County is well represented at the
International Plowing Match in Halton this week.
The large delegation is laying the foundation for a
successful match in Huron when the International
omes here in 1978. The group travelled in a caravan
which gathered at Seaforth Monday morning and
ncluded floats and exhibits. Among those making
the trip were (left; Fred Mote of Bayfield who will
demonstrate making shingles at the Match; George.
Campbell, R.R.1, Seaforth; Tom Leeming and his
father, William Leeming, both of R.R.4,, Walton;
Raymond Schotchmer of Huron County Museum who
is taking the Museum bus with a display to the
match.
