Tea at the home of Mrs. Fred
Dunk in Walton on Friday
afternoon, July 12, 1974.
Approximately 45 were .present
from Blyth, Brussels,Ethel,
Seaforth, Walton
and surrounding community,
The Vera Frain Trophy was
won by Mrs. Margaret Kelly,
Brussels and the presentation
was made by Mrs. Grace Hewitt,
the Society president. Second
prize, a Chinchilla corsage
presented by Mrs. Fred Dunk was
won by Mrs. Isobel Gibson,
Brussels. Third prize,a cup and
saucer, donated by Mrs. Dunk
was won by Mrs. Lottie
McCutcheon, Brussels.Fourth
prize , a candy dish, donated by
Mrs. Betty McCall, was won by
Mrs. Wilma Hemingway .The
best rose all around arrangement
was won by Mrs. Margaret Kelly.
It was a plastic basket presented
by Mrs. L. McLarty. Door prizes
of books donated by 'Mrs. E.
Cudmore were won by Mrs. Vera
McDonald, R.R.2, Brussels and
Mrs. Rena Watt, Blyth.
Tea was served at small tables
set out on the lawn. The
hostesses, Mrs. N. Reid, Mrs. F.
Dunk, Mrs.E. Cudmore, and
Mrs. A. McCall served lunch
assisted by Mrs. Margaret Kelly
and Mrs. Grace Hewitt.
Personals
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Traviss,
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart McCall,

arrived home Sunday evening
following a 17 day tour of Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. McCall spent a
week in Ireland prior to joining
the tour.
We are sorry to report that
Mrs. Howard Hackwell is a
patient in the Listowel Hospital.
We hope she is soon able to
return home.
