As a solo performer, Mr. Smith, "English bred, Ontario buttered", has toured extensively in schools, coffee houses and the concert stage. His theatrical integration of ppolitical sat ire and poetry with music has been featured on four record albums and in appearances on TV and stage. His mastery of songs and sketches have been.recognized by critics everywhere. This past spring, Mr. Smith worked at George. Luscomb's Toronto Workshop Productions, where he conceived and worked as writer-musician-actor in the highly successful stage adaptation of Barry Broadfoot's best-selling book, `Ten Lost Years'. It has been taped for CBC-Television and a major Canadian tour is planned. Mr. Smith comes to the Playhouse direct from his current engagement at Stratford's Black Swan Coffee House. 1974.
