the pretty evening ceremony
which united in marriage
Margaret Elizabeth Robertson of
Wingham, and Ronald Gordon
Cook of Belgrave. Knox United
Church, Be!grave, was decorated
with baskets of pink gladioli and
white daisies and pink mums
surrounding lighted candles in
candelabra for the occasion which
took place Saturday, June n, at 7
o'clock.
Mrs. Sydney' Thompson,
organist, accompanied the
soloist, Miss Marjorie Proctor, as
she sang The Lord's Prayer, The
Wedding Prayer and 'We've Only
Just Begun.'
Parents of the bride are Mr.
and Mrs. Alex RobertSon of
Wingham. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Cook of
Belgrave. Mr. Robertson gave his
daughter in marriage.
The bride 'chose a pure silk
Mori Lee gown with mandarin
neckline and long full puffy
sleeves. There were two tiers of
Swiss dot cryStallette around the
hemline, on the sleeves and at the
waistline. Swiss lace enhanced a
front bib and decorated the front
of the bodice, the waistline was
adorned with two rows of
matching crystallette dot, A Juliet
cap of tiny seeded pearls and
fluorescent crystals held her
four-tiered, scalloped silk illusion
veil and she carried a bouquet of
pink roses and white miniature
carnations.
Miss Marilyn Robertson of
Wingham was her sister's maid of
honor and bridesmaids were Mrs.
Barbara Black, • sister of the
groom, of Belgrave, Mrs. Marian
Strauss of Kitchener and Miss
Joan Currie of Wingham, friends
of the bride. They were go'a ned
alike in floor-length dresses of

bodices and long back ties. They
carried nosegays of pink and
white daisies.
Toni Black of Belgrave was best
man and guests were ushered by
John Nixon of Belgrave, Cam
Cook, brother of the groom, of
Belgrave, and Jim Robertson,
brother of the bride, of London.
All male attendants wore blue
tuxedos, white shirts and blue
velvet bow ties.
Brussels Legion Hall was
decorated with pink and white
bells and streamers for the
reception which followed. Out-of-
town guests attended from
Callander, Winona, LondOn,
Mossley, Stratford, New
Hamburg, Palmerston, Kincard-
ine, Ripley, Goderich, Lucknow,
Clinton, Bluevale, Blyth and
Belgrave.
The bride's mother wore a
polyester sheer floral gown in
tones of apricot, brown and
yellow, with frills around the
neckline, the cuffs and the
hemline. The groom's mother
chose a long-sleeved polyester
sheer floral gown in mauve,-
yellow and white. Both mothers
wore corsages of yellow roses.
For travelling to Northern
Ontario, the bride wore a navy
pantsuit with white trim-and black
and white accessories. She wore a
corsage of White miniature mums.
Mr. and Mrs. Cook will teside
on a farm near Belgrave.
The bride is a graduate of the
F.E. Madill Secondary School and
is employed at the office of
Lloyd-truax Ltd., Wingham.
Honored guests at their grand-,
son's wedding were Mrs. Joseph
Dunbar and Mrs. George Cook
both of Belgrave.

carried out by the Wingham
Detachment O.P.P. include:
Thirteen investigations with
thirteen persons charged under
the 'Liquor Control Act.
Eighteen charges laid with 10
warnings issued under the High-
way Traffic Act,
Thirty-one other investigations
with six charges laid under the
Criminal • Code,
On Tuesday, June 25, 1974,
Ralph C. Pearson of Brussels and
Kenneth D. Scott of R.R.1, Blyth,
were• involved in a 'two car
collision on Turnberry St. at Flora
Street in the Village of Brussels.
Edna C. Pearson, a passenger 'in
the Pearson vehicle was injured
as a result of the incident.
Damages were estimated at $700.
Charges are pending.
Sydney G. Thompson of R.R.5,
Wingham, struck and killed a
cattlebeast owned by Douglas
Walker of R.R.1, Belgrave. The
accident occurred on Huron
County Road 20, west of Sideroad
36-37, East Wawanosh Township.
Damages to the Thompson
vehicle were estimated at $500.
On Friday, June 28, 1974,
Clarence P. Hollinger of Wing-
ham and Charlotte F. Noller of
Buffalo; New York, were involved
in a two car collision on Highway
86 east of the CNR Crossing,
Turnberry Township. No one was
injured, and damages were
estimated at $175.
On Saturday, June 29, 1974,
Walter R, Chapman and Phyllis
E. McKee, both of Wingham
were involved in a collision on
Highway 86, west of the junction
of Highway 4. There were no
injuries, and total damages were
estimated at $500,
Wilma J. Hackett or R.R.7,
Lucknow and Joan A. Currie of
R.R.3, Wingham were involved in
a collision on Highway 86, west of
the junction of Turnberry Town-
ship Road, East Wawahosh
Township. There were no injuries
and damages were estimated at
$1500.
On Sunday, June 30, 1974,
Murray R. Black was involved in a
single car accident on Highway 4,
south of Huron Road 16, Morris
-Township. Injured as a result was
Dereck Horup of Toronto.
Brian M. Cameron of Wingham
was involved in a single liar
accident on Sideroad 8-9, at the
junction of the B-Line, Turnberry
Township, in which a fence post
owned by Wilmer Bridge was
damaged. No one was injured,
and total damages were
