He said the reason was that
Stanfield "can't think of what to
decide and therefore cant decide
what to „say."
He said that the Conservative
party are recruiting big
businessmen to run for them. Mr.
McGuigan noted that wage and
price controls benefit only . one
group of people, big business.
As for inflation, he said the
Liberal solution is to assure
producers, such as farmers, that
they will get a fair return and thus
encourage production. Shortages
are the problem that cause
inflation.
"There's no better way to
judge a man then by what he's
done." Mr. McGuigan said. He
pointed out that Stanfield Can't
even make up his own mind and
asked "so how can he decide for
the country?"
Huron MPP Jack Riddell and
Huron-Bruce MPP Murray. Gaunt
spoke briefly as did Huron
Warden Wm. Elston who brought
greetings. from the county.
Mr. Riddell also said that the
people don't even want an
election. He pointed out that
Huron went through a
bye-election last year and
"there's a good chance for
a provincial election next year."
