A new snack food 'that's good,
nutritious and gaining in
popularity is the salted soybean.
Here are directions for "doing
your own thing," if you have
soybeans growing at home.
Soybeans may be cooked and
salted to serve like salted nuts.
There ar e two methods for
preparing the beans - either is
acceptable.
For the first method: Soak dry
soybeans overnight or until
completely swollen. Dry the
surface of the beans between
towels and fry in deep fat. Fry a
few beans at a tittie for five to
eight minutes depending upon
the size.
