F Getting in practise for the Polar Daize Thunder Mug Races (it isn't as risky as it sounds --- the thunder mugs are all perched on toboggans) . February 19th the Brownies and Girl Guides held a joint meeting in the Library with a good attendance of mothers present. The Brownies opened the meeting with their Fairy Ring and Thinking Day Collection. President Lynne aveman welcomed everyone d introduced the head table n ests. Mrs. Gertrude Lavendar, ensall, Public Relations Adviser Clysdale Division and our district Commissioner, Mrs. ivian Newnham, Seaforth, were mong our guests. Gert thanked everyone and Mrs. Joan Stephenson presented her with a Girl Guide cup and saucer filled with flowers on behalf of the Guides and Brownies. Annette Dorsch gave a speech on founding of Guides and Brownies researched while working for her Canada Cord. Barb Watts, Camp Adviser said a few words about camping. Mrs. Lavendar spoke briefly.
