Brussels is confined to Seaforth
Community Hospital with a
fractured hip.
Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Stiles
and daughter Donelda of
Stratford were weekend visitors
with Brussels' relatives and
friends.
Mrs, Jean ,Leach of Brussels,
who bad been a patient in
Wingham and District Hospital
for the past two months, has been
transferred to St. Mary's
Hospital, Kitchener.
Mrs. Jean Little, who was a
patient in Wingham and District
Hospital was able to return to her
home here last week..
Mr. and Mrs. David Kennedy
and sons Michael. and Mark, of
Hamilton, were week end guests
with their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
R.W.Kennedy.
Jack Thynne is a patient in
Wingham and District Hospital.
Mrs. Thynne is at present visiting
with her sister, Mrs. Rae
Crawford and Mr. Crawford of
R.R.5,Brussels,
Reeve and Mrs..
J. L. McCutcheon have returned
from a trip to Florida.
Mr. Grant Elliott of Brussels,
who was in University Hospital
for two weeks, was transferred to
Victor is Hospital,
London, Ontario where he
underwent heart surgery on
Friday, February 15.
Mrs. Jean Taylor was a visitor
in Dorchester on the occasion of
the Rev. Wm. J. Taylor
Appreciation Sunday on his 90th
birthday. Mr. Taylor delivered
the sermon at that service and

A former Brussels resident,
11-year-old Donelda Stiles,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Stiles of Stratford, has received
word that she obtained 83%. in,
her Grade 4 piano examinations.

announced for March 12 at 1:30 in
Knox Church, Stratford.
The hymn "Softly and
Tenderly" was sung. Mrs. Mac
Engel gave a New Year's topic
which had been prepared by the
late Miss Alice J. Forrest, White
goods consisting of men's shirts,
sheets and pillowcases, to be
used for hospital work, were
handed in to the supply secretary,
Mrs. Veitch. Cards and visits
were recorded by Mrs. John A.
Perrie.
k Closing Hymn was "The King
of love my Shepherd is" and. all
repeated the Mizpah Benediction.
Lunch was provided by Mr s. Jack.
Conley, and the hostess.
Toronto and visited overnight
with Rev. Allan and Mrs.
Cornish.
Mrs. Lylle Gordon is a patient
in List owel Memorial Hospital
where she underwent surgery on
Monday.
Mr. and Mrs.Clare Veitch
visited on Sunday with Dr. H ugh
and Mrs. Edgar in London.
Mrs. Melvin Becker visited on
the weekend with friends in Galt
and Hamilton.
Eleven members attended the
February meeting of the W.M.S.
held at the home of Mrs. Calvin
Cameron. The leader, Mrs.
Stuart Stevenson, using the
theine "Love" opened the
meeting with a reading "Love one
another.' The hymn "Tell me the
old old story" was sung, with
Mrs. Clare Veitch as pianist.
Following a reading "God's
Gift", the scripture reading 1
John 4: verses 7 - 21 was r ead
and Mrs. Stevenson gave a
meditation and prayer. Mrs Earl
Dunn, president, condubted the
business. Roll call was a verse
containing "love". Our group will
join with the Moncrieff ladies for
the "World Day of Prayer service
in Moncrieff United Church on
March 1. Mrs. Stevenson will
give. a reading at this meeting,'
Mrs. Leslie Knight and Mrs
Mac Engel have been going
through the minute books for
items of historical interest and
will give a summary at the March
meeting at the home of Mr s.
