Morningstar has desiert euchre
Morningstar Rebekah Lodge
Valentine Dessert Euchre was
enjoyed by many ladies of the
community. Euchre was played
with the high prize going to Mrs.
Beatrice Cardiff; Lone Hands -
Mrs. Aleatha. Rann; Birthday -
Mrs. Grewar; Consolation - Mrs.
Watson.
Morningstar Rebekah Lodge
held its regular meeting Tuesday
F.W.T.A.O. Huron County
Association sponsored a meeting
for all. Huron County teachers at
South Huron District High School
on Wednesday, February 13 at
7:15 P.M. Florence Henderson,
Executive Secretary for
F.W.T.A.O., guest speaker,
February 12th with the Vice
Grand Leona Connelly in, charge.
Correspondence included thank
yous from members for gifts and
cards also a thank you from
Ontario Hospital at Goderich for
gifts and money at Christmas.
A letter from Barb McCutcheon
telling us of her vacation in
Florida was also read. A report
was given on Dessert Euchre
spoke on amendments to Bill 275.
She very capably informed the
teachers on, the implications of
compulsory arbitration and
legislating working conditions
etc. at the provincial level. She
explained the dual route to
satisfactory agreements proposed
which was a success despite the
bad weather.
Invitations to visit other Lodges
in district were read. Several
item's of business were discussed.
Lodge was closed followed by a
social time.
