Do people realize how much
water is used in the home in a
day. We begin to, when for some
reason, we have no water. That
happened recently when a broken
water main had to be repaired.
This necessitated the shutting off
of' the water for a day. Being
made aware of what was to
happen every available suitable
container was filled to the brim
with water for use in the
emergency. Cold water enough
we had. Then there was the
unaccustomed chore of heating
when hot water was needed. This
all makes one consider what a real
water shortage would mean. It
impresses on us that we should be
conservation minded so that we
"waste not, want not",
