Phone 27.-0400 It Only Costs A Little To Be Safe .0bituarles— MRS.MARJORIE JOHNSTON Mrs. Marjorie Johnston, beloved wife Of Clarence Johnston of Blyth, passed away suddenly in Clinton General Hospital on January 30th, 1974. She was in her 69th year. Mrs. Johnston was born in Glenelg Township on May 5, 1905, the daughter of the late John and .Mary Grasby. She married Clarence Johnston on September 30th, 1924 where they farmed in East Wawanosh until 10 years ago when they moved to Blyth. She was a member of the United Church. Surviving besides her husband are one son Kenneth of Blyth, one daughter Iona, Mrs, Donald McLean of Morris Township, two sisters, (Mae) Mrs. Bradshaw, (Fannie) Mrs. Riley, both 0 Brussels as well as eleveq grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral services took plac from Tasher Memorial Chapel Blyth, with the Rev. C. L. Wittie officiating. Burial was in Blyt Union Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Earl Caldwell, Ralph Caldwell Gordon Caldwell, Robert Marshall, George Fear, Louis Daer. A. H. WILFORD There is a wealth of unusual old architecture in Brussels. From time to time the Post intends to publish pictures of interesting pre-1900 houses which catch our photographer's eye. We have some inforMation about each house but would appreciate any more information our readers could provide -- who built the house (the contractor) and when is our main interest. The red brick house above with turret was built by the Leckie family,' was lat er owned by Dave Walker,-who ran a furniture.and undertaking business here. W. C. King later owned the house and sold it to the present owner, Dr. Donald McRae of Willowdale. and other inputs went up. Retail prices won't go down for the same reasons. It appears to me that low income people must have some help to pay for the higher food cost. I'm afraid that high income people, professional people) some high paid union members will not be willing to . sacrifice anything. Then if the food costs go up, they'll demand more income, which in turn will result in higher food cost. cost to go down. We, as farmers have known this all along. On top of this comes the statement from Dr. Michael DeBakey, the famous heart transplant surgeon, that only about 30% of heart patients have any cholesterol abnormality. He said that diet is not a specific cause of heart disease st ating: "We don't know the cause and need to take a much saner attitude toward diet in relation to the disease, since it is obvious that diet, as far as 65% or 70% of the patients are concerned, has not been related or associated with the disease in our experience." Then from Raymond Reiser, Texas A & M Un. that saturated fats do not, by any criterion, elevate cholesterol to high risk levels. if indeed they raise it at all." Sunnyside home in Kitchener, He was known to many as the Rutabaga King. Mr. Wilford was born in Blyth, a son of Rev.' John Wilford and Lisa Nesbitt. He was official welcomer at Timothy Eaton United Church in Toronto, and public relations officer for the rutabaga industry in Canada. He was the last' surviving member of his family. He married the' former Edna Griffin who died, several years ago. The , body was at Sunnyside home, 247 Franklin Ave. S,, Kitchener. The funeral service was in the chapel at the home with Rev.
