weekend. Mrs. Calvin Cameron
returned home with them for a
few days.

Rebekahs
plan euchre
Morningstar Rebekah Lodge
met January 22 with good
attendance. Vice Grand reported
visiting, sending gifts and cards
to sick and shut-ins. Final plans
were made for the Dessert Euchre
February 11. Several members
donated prizes and it was also
decided to charge 75, cents for the
Dessert Euchre.
An invitation to attend Hensall
Rebekah Lodge "25th Birthday
Party on February 11 was
received. Several members plan
to attend.'
A penny auction was conducted
by Dorothy Ritchie and social
'cOintniiee and iiinch served by
Delores Wheeler and lunch
committee followed.

the sudden death of George E.
Wilson in St. Marys General
Hospital on January 25 at the age
of 64. He was a cousin of Mrs.,
Wilfred Strickler and husband of
Mrs. Wilson, recently appointed
editor of Federated News.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordan Wood,
Mitchell, visited Mr . and Mrs,
Earl Dunn.
Ladies' Aid
Knox Presbyterian Church
, Mrs. Stuart Stevenson was
hostess for the annual meeting of
the Ladies' Aid of Knox
Presbyterian Church. The
President, Mrs. Clare/ .Veitch
opened the meeting by reading
"Drop one kind word". Mrs.
Leslie Knight accompanied on the
piano for the hymn "Standing at
the portal". Eleven answered the
roll call by naming "A favorite
Hymn". Mrs. Leslie Knight,
using the theme "The New Year"
read from Genesis ,and gave a
meditation. Following a'prayer by
Mrs. Melvin Becker. Mrs. Jack
Knight read the minutes and
Mrs. Stuart McNair the
treasurer's, report. It, was decided
to have a 'pot luck dinner
preceding the annual
congregational meeting on
January 30. The church cleaning
schedule was re-arranged. tr
