It will be available at any Royal Trust office. ****** The U.S. visitors here for the annual Garden City vs. Brussels Minor Hockey Tournament got a good taste of a Canadian winter sport. Snowmobilers were doing a weekend entertainment stint treating them to snowmobiling fun. By all the squeals 'of delight and merriment heard around our village, the visitors thoroughly enjoyed themselves. * ***** With ideal conditions fey snowmobile sport prevailing, there is scarcely a day we do not read, or hear, of fatal or crippling accidents. Such an accident narrowly escaped taking place here this weekend. A snowmobile crashed into a car on a Brussels street: Fortunately, no one was injured. The snowmobile was a wreck and the car was damaged. All those involved in the accident were from other areas. "I've already chocked the neighborhood' bars." McCutcheon of Berwick, Pa, passed away at his home in his 81st year. He was. the son of David and Eliza McCutcheon of the 6th line of Morris., In 1914 he married Ella M. Clark daughter of Thos. and Elizabeth Clark, They observed their 59th Anniversary Nov. 4 of this year. He attended Brussels Continuation School and Medico Chi College in Philadelphia where he graduated in 1914 and opened a dental office in Wilkes Barre where he practiced until 1931 *yen he-moved to berw ielte P*. Where he practiced until his retirement in 1964. He was a member of Brussels Orange Lodge and aefortde-r Fire Co. of Berwick. He belonged to Christ Episcopal Chtfrch and was Sr. Warden for a number of years. His body rested at the .1.Hinkley Funeral home, Berwick and brought to the M.L.Watts Funeral Home, BruSsels. Services were held from St. Johns Anglican Church to the Chapel in Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack - McWhirter, Geo. Ives, Frank Alcock, Clark Thynne, Glen Smith and Clarence McCutcheon. SAMUEL FLEMING BLACK The death occurred in Wingham and District Hospital Lin January 7th. Samuel Fleming Black of Bluevale. He was 77. He is survived by a brother Malcolm "Mac" Black of Bluevale. Funeral services were held at the R.A.Currie Funeral Home, Wingham on Thursday. Temporary en tombment followed in Wingham Cemetery Chapel Nv th burial later in Bluevale Cemetery. CHARLES SOUCH Retired Morris Township farmer Charles Souch died in Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, January 10, 1974 after a lengthy illness. He was 73. Born August 6, 1900 in Morris to the late William and Charlotte Souch, he farmed in the Township until 1967 when he retired to Blyth. On June 20, 1928 at Bluevale United Church, he married Laura Johnston, who survives. Three sons, William, Morris Township; Murray; Morris Township' and Murdie of Petrolia; and two daughters, Mrs. James (Mildred) Golley, Morris and Mrs. William (Leota) King, Wingham also survive, along with 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Souch is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Florence Sellers, Moose Jaw, Sask; Mrs, Emma Young, Dungannon; Mrs. Mildred Stewart, Wingham; and Leslie, Vancouver. Three sisters and one brother predeceased him. Mr. Souch was a member of Blyth United Church. The funeral was held Saturday at Tasker Memorial Chapel, Blyth, with Rev. C. L. Wittich officiating. Interment followed in Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aubrey McNichol, Alvin Wallace and Murray Hamni of Blyth, Ross Smith, Bluevale, Charles Bosnian and Carman Haines, Wingham. MRS.ROBIBRT McCREIGIIT Mrs Robert McCreight, 38, of ‘ed Deer, Alta., died Dec. 30. The former Monna Geraldine Machan, she Was born in Grey Township, a daughter of the former Jane Flood and the late James Machan. Following her marriage about 15 years ago, she had lived in I I detton , Kitchener, Stratford, and Niagara Falls, prior to moving to Red Deer four years. age. She was a stenographer employed with an accounting firm in Reddeer., and was a member Of the Anglican Church there, Surviving, besides her husband, are; a daughter, Shannon, and a son, Steven, both at home; her mother, Mr, James Machan of Listowel; sisters, Mrs. fred (Elaine) Lee and Mrs. Allan (Wilma) Lowry, both of Listowel, Mrs. Clayton (Donalda) Heibien of Thamesford, Mrs. Duncan (Karen) Davidson, Kitchener; brothers, Ivan of Kitchener, Keith of Auburn and Clayton of Oorrie. Memorial service was held in the chapel of Fairview cemetery, Listowel. Burial will take place hit er. THOMAS GILBERT HETHERINGTON Thomas Gilbert Hetherington passed away in the Palmerston and District Hospital on Thurs- day, January 10, 1974. He was born in Cody Station, Queen's County, New Brunswick, an November 9, 1888. He received his. B.S.A. Degree from McGill University in Montreal and was an employee of the Dominion Government working in the Agricultural Department. He's survivied by his wife, the former Helen Adams, formerly of Cranbrook, Ont,; two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Glynn Littlejohn) of Thornhill, Mary Violet of Fredericton, N.B.; and one son, Gilbert of Cranbrook, Ontario, Two grandchildren also survive. Rested at the K.M. Henderson Funeral Home, Palmerston, where a Public Service and Committal was held on Saturday, January 12, at 2:00 p.m. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Robert Wagner of Palmerston United Church. Final resting place was Cran- brookCemetery, Cranbrook, Ontario. WILFRED R. DUNBAR Wilfred Roy Dunbar passed away at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on Friday, January 11. Dear husband of Molly; father of Carlyle of . Clarkson; Dianne (Mrs. J. N. Henning) of Barrie; Robin of Ethel; Sylvia of Toronto; brother of George and Clifford and Mrs. Elsie Cunningham, all of Ethel; also surviv ed by seven grandchildren. A private funeral service was held on Monday morning. Inter- n-lent in Ethel, Ontario. W.M.S. Melville W.M.S. met in the church parlor with eleven mem- bers answering the roll call with the payment of fees. Mrs, Mair, the president, opened the meet- ing with a poem "A Better World." Hymns were sung with Mrs. King at the piano. The secretary's report was read by Mrs. Steiss and Mrs. Speir gave the treasurer's report. The. Annual Meeting of the Maitland Presbyterian W.M.S. is to be held in Wingham on January 28. Nineteen visits to sick and shut-ins were reported. Mrs. King and Mrs. Yuill are to visit the nursing home for the month of January. The collection was taken by Mrs, Spelr and dedicated by Mrs. Malt. The meditation on "Put your hand in the hand of God" was given by Mrs. Allan Smith. The scripture from Ephe- siatis 6, verses 10-16 were read by Mrs. Gerald Gibson, Prayer by Mrs, Evans. The New Year's message was given by Mrs. Mair. The Huron-Perth County Roman Catholic Separate Sehcal Board members meeting in Seaforth Monday night elected Trustee Francis Hicknell , R.R,$, Seaforth, to represent the board on the Huron-Perth TB and Respiratory Diseases Association: for 1974, Dan Devlin and Fred Bergsma of Stratford were appointed to repr esent the board on the Stratford Library Board.
