The U.S. visitors here for the
annual Garden City vs. Brussels
Minor Hockey Tournament got a
good taste of a Canadian winter
sport. Snowmobilers were doing a
weekend entertainment stint
treating them to snowmobiling
fun. By all the squeals 'of delight
and merriment heard around our
village, the visitors thoroughly
enjoyed themselves.
* *****
With ideal conditions fey
snowmobile sport prevailing,
there is scarcely a day we do not
read, or hear, of fatal or crippling
accidents. Such an accident
narrowly escaped taking place
here this weekend. A snowmobile
crashed into a car on a Brussels
street: Fortunately, no one was
injured. The snowmobile was a
wreck and the car was damaged.
All those involved in the accident
were from other areas.
"I've already chocked the
neighborhood' bars."
