The Ethel U.C.W. met at the
home of Mrs. A. Pearson on
Feb. 15th. Devotions were taken
by Mrs. James Struthers. Mrs.
Carl McDonald gave the topic
on "Love your Enemies". •Mrs.
Geo. Pearson was the Pres. for
the month and conducted the busi-
ness. Roll call was "name your
first church." It was decided
to cancel World's Day of Prayer
Services in our church, Mar. 2nd.
Rummage Sale will be held May
5th with committees chosen.
presbyterial will be held in'
Seaforth Feb. 28th. The meeting
closed with prayer followed by
lunch served by the hostess.
WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
The Ethel Women's Institute
held their Feb. meeting at the
home of Mrs. Geo. Pearson. Mrs.
Tom MacFarlane, 1st Vice-con-
ducted the meeting due to the
absence of Mrs. L. Weber. The
meeting opened with the opening
Ode, Mary Stewart Collect and
the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. C.
Earl read. a poem on the First
Valentine. Mrs. Ed Gill gave
the motto, "What counts is not

Delegate was •named to go to
Conference in Waterloo.
It was agreed to look after a
wedding on Mar. 2nd and cater
to one April 7th, District An-
nual was reported on by Mrs. C.
Earl who attended a District
Directors meeting in Clifford.
It will be held in walton,
May 8th.
A Valentine draw was held
and won by Mrs. Carl McDonald.
Mrs. Ralph Keffer had the birth-
day closest to Feb. 14th. Lunch
was served by Mrs. Ralph Kef-
fer and Mrs. Archie Jacklin.
Mrs. Lothar Weber and Phil-
lip returned home from England
Friday, where she was visiting
her mother.
Miss Jennie Lynn and. Don
Lloyd of Toronto visited, with
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Lynn.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Bremner
and Doris visited Sunday in Mit-
chell with Mr. and Mrs. James
P estell.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scheerer
and daughter of Goderich visited
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Scheerer.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Cardiff visi-
ted Sunday with Mrs. Cliff Busch-
lin Mitchell.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stewart,
Monkto'n and. Mr. and Mrs. Le
Allan Wardlaw, Brantford visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ward-
