wedding vows on December 30,
19'72 at 4 p.m. in. Bethel Chris-,
tian Reformed Church, Listowel,
Ontario with Rev. Henry Lunshof
the Officiating Clergy. The
Church was decorated with
candelabra with white tapers.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. G. Lubbers, R.R.
No. 1, Palmerston and Mr. and
Mrs. A. Peters, R.R.No.2, Brus-
sels, Ontario are the parents of
.the groom.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose an Empire
waisted gown of peau-de-soie
with long sleeves. Lace trimmed
the bodice and skirt which ex-
tended to form a train. The gown
was designed and made by her-
self. Her two tierred veil was
held by aJnliet cap. She carried a
white Bible with mauve orchid
and yellow sweetheart roses.
Janet Richmond, New
Hamburg, friend of the bride, was
the maid of honour and the brides-
maids were Joan Hamilton, Lis-
towel, sister of the bride and
Chris Bos, Kitchener, friend of
the bride. Helen Lubbers, Palm-
erston, sister of the bride was
the Junior Bridesmaid. They
were dressed alike in Empire
waisted purple velvet skirts and
mauve chiffon bodices. The bod-
ices and sleeves were trimmed
with laceand carried yellow cym-
bidium orchids.
Jake Peters, Brussels,
brother of the groom was the best
man and the ushers were Albert
Lubbers, Palmerston, brother of
the bride and Eddy Peters, Brus-
sels, brother of the groom.
Nelson Peters, Brussels, brother
of the groom was a Junior Usher.
Mrs. Lawrence Morphy,
Palmerston was the organist and
accompanied the soloist, Mrs.
Gordon Klaassen,. Palmerston,
when she sang.
The reception was held at
Moorefield Community Hall. The
bride's. Mother received the
guests in , a lime _green A-line
dress of polyester trimmed with
silver lace, accented with black
accessories and wore a corsage
of white carnations and yellow
tinted carnations. The groom's
mother wore a gold A-line dress
of polyester with long sleeves
accented with brown accessories
and had a corsage Of white car-
nations and yellow tinted car-
nations.
The couple will reside at
32 Dwight S.E., Grand Rapids,
Michigan.
The groom is a student at
Calvin College graduating this
summer and will then enter Cal-
vin Theological • Seminary,
waterloo, Ontario. The bride
is employed with the Mutual Life
of Canada as a clerk.
