OBITUARIES
ROY CHARLES CHAMPION
Roy Charles Champion, 'of
Brussels, pa.ssed away in Wing
ham and District. Hospital on
Monday, December 25th, 1972.
He was in his 76th year. For
a number of years he was
manager of the Champion, later
'the Hyde, garage in Brussels.
lie is survived by two sis-
ters, Mrs. Earl (Lottie)Sproule
of Exeter and Mrs. Thomas
(Luella) Champion of Arizona,
and, one brother, Herbert of
Stratford.
Three sisters, Hattie, Pearl,
Pricilla and four rothers,Harry,
George, William and Wilfred
predeceased him.
The funeral service was held
at the M. L. Watts FuneralHome,
on Thursday, December 28th at
2 :00 p.m. Rev. C. A. Mc-
Carroll officiated:" A memorial
service was held at the funeral
home on Wednesday evening at
9 p.m. under the auspices of
the Brussels Branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion.
Temporary entombment took
place in. Brussels Burial Chapel.
Pallbearers were Walter
Kerr, Louis Frain, Jack McCut-
cheon, Bill Stephenson, Harvey
Jacklin and. Clifford Riley.
JAMES KERR
James Kerr of Brussels
passed away in Wingha.m and
District Hospital on Friday, Dec.
29th, 1972. He had ben failing
health for several years and had
been a resident of the Callander
Nursing Home, Brussels for
some time. He was in his 85th
year.
He farmed in Morris Town-
ship before retiring in Brussels.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Lillian' (Clark) Sellers
and one daughter, Mrs. Murray
(Gloria) Vodden of London,
He was predeceased by his
first wife, Maude Rintoul, one
brother, Wesley of Brussels and
one sister, Ella.
Funeral services were held
from the M.L. Watts Funeral.
Home on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
with Rev. C.A. McCarroll of ,
Melville Presbyterian Church of-
ficiating. Temporary entomb-
inent took, place in Brussels
Burial Chapel.
Pallbearers were; Harry
Goll, Alex Shaw, Eddie Taylor,
Ken Sholdice, George Brewer
and Jack Yuill.

graced the buffet. The cake was
decorated by Mrs. Joe Pearson,
next-door neighbour of Mr. and
Mrs. Hall. Pouring tea were
Mrs. Charles Shiell of Wingham,
Mrs. Quest Dobson of Listowel
and Mrs. Cecil Hall of Kingston.
Serving the guests were Susan
Hall, Sally Dobson and Darlene
Dobson, while Mrs. Doug Evans,
Mrs. Bill Dobson and Mrs. Pete
Dobson assisted in the kitchen.
Many congratulatory mes-
sages were received and guests
attended from Kingston, Bow-
manville, Port Colborne, Regina,
Stratford, London, Goderich,
Milverton, Clinton, Seaforth,
Lucknow, Wingham, Brussels,
Listowel, Atwood and Ethel com-
munity.
