win championship
The Brussels Mites won the
"B" Division Championship at
the Third annual Exeter Mite
Hockey Tournament last week by
defeating four other teams. In
the opening game of the tourna-
ment Brussels shut out Huron
Park 9 - 0 and later in the day
blanked Forest 5 - 0. In the
semi-finals Brussels de-
feated Dorchester 5 1 and in
the Final they left no'doubt who
was the better team by handing
Belmont an 8 - 2 thumping, and
captured the "B" division trophy.
That evening Brussels was
defeated by Exeter in the Grand
Championship game by a slim
2 - 0 score. Exeter had, gained
the A Championship by defeating
teams from London, Listowel,
St. Marys and Hanover. Follow.-
ing the game, Brussels was pre,
seated with the Tournam'ent
Trophy which is given annually
to the team best displaying'
Gentlemanly Conduct.
The team was led through-
out the tournament by Terry
McCutcheon who scored 23 of
the teams 29 goals and helped
defensively as well to hold the
goals against in the five games
to 5 goals. Bradley Wright and
John Huether each had two goal
performances and singles were
scored by Stewart Cardiff and
Kevin Wheeler.
MITES DEFEAT LUCKNOW

sels Mites defeated Lucknow 6-
3. Assists in the game went to
Kevin WY, aeler and Peter Ben-
nett.
