Guelph Winter Fair.
The Goderich district was well repre-
sented at the Guelph winter fair last week,
seventy or more from the neighboring
townships being in attendance. Several
made purchases of foundation stock for
their farms. In the stock and poultry
departments the entr es were more
numerous than ever before. There was
not such a strong showing of feed; but what
w w' was1
was shown O f high •merli e, coex-
cepted. The -movie,were there for the
first time, giving impressive and helpful
demonstrations on many features of farm
activity. The fair was of greater interest
to farmers this year than ever before.
owing to the fact that live stock. owing
to war demands, is needed as never be-
fore. It is a great educational opportun-
ity, ar.d the pressure of the farm labor
situation makes it more than ever im-
perative that farmers shall get in line
with the most advanced methods of pro-
duction.
