A couple of sneak thieved' operated
at a boarding house in l.iet.owel re-
cently. Representing themselves as
employed in town • they obtained
board ; one of them left town the
same evening and the next morning
the other one was late in getting down
for breakfast. Atter getting break-
fast he disappeared and neither has
teen heard of since. It appears that
he utilized the time between the time
the other boarders w int, to, work and
thsdi►ne he got down In ransacking
their helonginge. Nine dollars was
kesw-ed from one, some change from
another. and a gbod new suit from a
third, the thief's old snit being left in
exchange. The boarding -house -keeper
does not even know their nature, but
would like to meet them again. as
would the other boarders who were
touched.
