Fall Show Finances.
The directors of the G(derich Indus-
trial Exhibition find that the fintreseeii
of the fair are in a better condition
than was at first supposed. They are
paying prize money and accounts in
full and du not expect to have more
than a small note to carry at the -bank.
The surplus freer. last year's exhibition
proved a valuable resource. •

charge of the work of making the

problem has been giving the water
and light commisgioners a good deal
of worry, hut Mr! Tromanhauser soya

that the original contractors had a
pretty difficult proposition to handle
in putting in the basin, compared to
which the repair of the basin ' will be
an easy matter. Mr. Trornanhnuuer

lay a watertight floor of (umber. first
to keepdown the ;immure while the
cement floor was a laid. To lay the soft
cement against the water pressure -
