DUNGANNON
From our own ..
Miss Mary Stuart, of Licknow, and
formerly of Dungannon, is visiting
friends and former sccroaintances here.
and seems to enjoy herself.
The hay crop, which is unusually
heavy is, owing to favorable weather, be-
ing rapidly stored away. Next in order
is fall wheat which is rapidly maturing,
Dungannon Agriculture' Joint Stock
Co. ars taking steps to hate the
grounds •which have been laid out for
buildings and trotting course, ready to
use at or before the time of the fall
show. As the members of the various
committee. are gentlemen cf energy
and push. the completion of the work,
we presume will be performed in a prop_
er manner, and in good time.
We are being reminded of the grim
visitor, death. Mr. Whyard, reliot of
the deceased Nathaniel Whyard, died on
Monday, 14th inst., aged ed years. Her
remains were interred in Dungannon
cemetery, on Wednesday, 1Gth inst. In
connection with the above we might note
e strange ooincidenoe. Her husband
On Saturday of last week J. W. Shaw, died on the same day of the week,as also
Brussels, went to London where he will the same day of the month. The
take a term at the military school for the obsequies were conducted by Rev A.

On Sunday, 13th inst., Wm Patton,

who had leen very ill since last fall. de-
parted this life, age 22 years. His re-
mains were interred in I . on
Tuesday the 15th. There was • large
gathering of relatives, friends and neigh-
bor. present on that solemn occasion,
the bereaved parents and family have
the sincere sympathy of the community
in their sad affliction.
The strawberry and ice-cream festi-
val, to which reference was made in our
laid, was a emcees, both intellectually
sed financially, the proceeds realized on
that 000esion being seventeen dollars.
Quite a number were present, and the
weather favorable but somewhat chilly.
However all who were there were highly
pleased with the ectertainment. Too
