Some #ollc chartered a bus and Some went in, cars to the Cen- tennial Hall in London where about two hundred gathered to honour the Swifts. A program called 'Flash Back', was much enjoyed by all and was a sur- prise to 'the guests of honour. Dancing to Bobby Downs was enjoyed and at midnight a 'de- licious smorgasbord luncheon was served. The Swifts received many telegrams and gifts. One of the gifts was an oil painting of the Ethel store which the Swifts owned a few years back. Mrs. Gregory of Gorrie painted the picture. All in all a very enjoyable -evening was had by all. Everyone is puffing on big cigars. Why not! Mr. and Mrs. Doug Evans are very proud to announce the birth of a son. Mrs. Austin Raymond is a patient in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Carl McDonald and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Earl and family were guests of the Johnston-Coghlin wedding Fri- day evening in Atwood United Church and also visited the Johnston home on Sunday when the gifts of the bride aid groom were shown at 'Open House'. A number of folk attended the Moncrieff Anniversary on Sunday when a former minis,- ter, Rev. Harold Snell of London was guest Minister. Mr.& Mrs, Bob Lampkin and /dr, And Mrs. Gary Crozier of Kitchener visited Mr. and Mrs. Los Crozier. Visitors with Mrs, Bert Godden were Mr. and Mrs. Hod Gooden and family of Brampton and Mrs. Walter Murray and Nancy of $t. Pau's. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lobb of Huron Park and daughter, Mrs. Leslie Brown and baby of Dryden visited recently with Miss Jane McLennon. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hall on the passing of a grandson, Bill Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Hall, Owen Sound.
