Rebeccas and Oddfellows
parade to United Church
Members of the Rebecca and
Oddfellow Lodges attended ser-
vice in Brussels United Church
in a body on Sunday morning.
They were paraded to and from
the church by the Royal Can-
adian Legion pipe band. The cap-
acity crowd was treated to mean-
ingful messages in song by the
“Inspirations". This group was
making their second appearance
and the fact that every corner in
the auditorium was filled, indi-
cated their popularity.

Godden took charge of the devot-
ions assisted by. Mrs. A. Pear-
son. Mrs. Don Fischer sang a
solo which was much enjoyed.
Mrs. B. Godden introduced the
titled "The Great Need" was
based on neighbourliness.
After the service the gospel
singers and the choir members
and their wives and husbands
were guests at a• dinner in the
church school room.
During the week Mr. and Mrs.
D • A. Rann supervised the plant-
ing of some shrubs at the front
of the church as part of a cen-
tennial project.
The painting of the exterior
of the church is expected to start
within the next few days.

FUNERAL
MRS. GEORGE WARWICK
The death occurred atHuron-
view, Clinton, on May 24th of
Mrs. George Warwick. She was
in her 93rd year.
The former Mary Louisa
Higgins, she was the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah
Higgins and was born in Turn-
berry Township.
Her husband predeceased her
in 1942 but she is survived by
a daughter, Isobel, Mrs. James
Shortreed, Walton and sons
Robert of Toronto; Jack, Morris;
James, Blyth and Lloyd, Blue-
vale. She is also survived by
13 grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren and by sisters,
Letta, Mrs. GordonWalkerWing-
ham; Effie, Mrs. Arthur Fitch,
Gorrie and by brothers, _Robert
Higgins, Belgrave and Gordon
Higgins, Morris. A brother,
Nelson of Belgrave predeceased
her.
Mrs. Warwick was a member
of Bluevale United Church.
A funeral service was held
Friday from the M. L. Watts
Funeral Home, Brussels con-
ducted by Rev. Karl De Koeijer.
Interment followed in Brussels
Cemetery when pallbearers were
