President, April McBurney led in the opening exercises. The roll call was in charge by Sheila Anderson. Con- nie Meurs read minutes and the treasurer's report was given by Dianne Scott. There were 12 girls present. The sing-song was led by Dianne Scott, HONORED AT DINNER Mrs. Arthur H, Edgar was honoured at a dinner held by her family on Sunday in the Belgrave Community Centre on the occasion of her 80th birthday. Honor Bride-Elect The A.C.W, gathered at the home of Mrs. Robert Procter Saturday afternoon to honour Miss Connie Nethery (bride- to-be). Games and contests were conducted by Janette Johnston, Marjorie Procter, Mary Isabel Nethery and Mrs. Clare Van Camp. Connie was seated in a decorated chair. An address was read by Miss Mary Isabel Nethery. The gifts were presented to her by her two little sisters, Denise and Angela, and her mother Mrs. Alex Nethery, assisted her in opening the gifts. She was pre- sented with an apron decorated with bows from the gifts. Connie thanked everyone for the gifts. Shower A miscellaneous shower was held in Knox United Church base- ment for a newlywed, Mrs. Eric Williamson, the former Lois Leishman on Monday evening. A short programme was enjoyed comprising of contests, The Coultes sisters singing two num- bers accompanied by Mrs. Geo. Johnston at the piano, followed by a reading by Mrs. Leslie Bolt. Miss Marjorie Procter favoured with two solos, accompanied by Mrs. Johnston. Lois was seated in a dec- orated chair.
