minister for the service at 1:30
p.m. There will be a meeting of
the congregation following this
service and a good attendance

Versary. Mrs. Ballantyne was the
former Lucy Alderson, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
Alderson. The couple were mar-
ried at the home of the bride's
parents at Cranbrook. They have
a family of one son, Lyle, and
two daughters; (Rene) Mrs.Wilf-
red Tuer and (Grace) Mrs. Alex
Drummond. Fred Smalldon and
Mrs. Mac Engel, attended this
pleasant event, onSunday evening.
MELVILLE GUILD
Melville Guild met in the
church parlour when Mary Hue-
ther opened the meeting with a
poem and presided for the devo-
tions, leading in prayer. The
meditation, based on the Lord's
Prayer, was given by Brenda
Higgins. Peggy Gibson and Joan
Huether sang two hyms and the
topic, based on the Pentecost,
was presented by Isobel Gibson.
The vice president, Joan Exel,
presided for business. It was
decided to have the annual smorg-
asbord dinner on. May 24th. Mary
Huether conducted two contests
and lunch was served by the
committee Mary Huether, Isobel
Gibson and. Brenda Higgins.

Nine tables were in play at
the card party held in the I.O.O. F.
lodge rooms on Thursday even-
ing. Prizes were awarded to
Mrs. Marguerite Crawford, high
lady; Mrs. Annie Thynne, low
lady; Dick Stephenson, high man,
Walter Kerr, low man.
