Church, "The Wedding Prayer"
during the ceremony arid "FPI'
All We Know" during the sign-
ing of the regiSter.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a full-
length gown of white lagoda, crepe
styled with an attached chapel
train with a full flounce of
lagoda and Guipure lace insert
around the hemline with match-
ing trim on the yoke, on the
cuffs of the full long sleeves.
Her full-length chapel nylon
illusion veil with matching lace
trim with four short tiers was
held by a floral spray with illus-
ion trim and seed pearls.
She carried a crescent bouquet
of white Phalenopsis Orchids,
stephanotis, mauve freesia and
trailing ivy. She also wore a gold
heart pendent with cultured pearl
a gift of- the groom and a gold
bracelet which had belonged to
her great great grandmother.
Miss Marybeth Perry of Oak-
vile, cousin of the bride , was
maid of honour. Bridesmaids
were Mrs. Kenneth Shortreed of
Walton, Miss Beverley Balog,
sister of the groom, Kitchener.
Junior bridesmaids were Gwen
Bernard of Brussels and Penny
Mitchell, cousin of the bride,
Markham. They wore identical
gowns of polyester mauve and
white floral chiffon over taffeta
with matching hoods and short
puffed sleeves with flounce
around hemline matching the
Bride's gown. They all carried
closed umbrellas trimmed with
shasta daisies and purple statice.
Richard. Cousineau was best
man and guests were ushered by
Roy Bronson,brother of the bride,
Robert Miklos, cousin of the
groom. Junior ushers were Scot
Mitchell, cousin of the bride and
Jerry Miklos, cousin of the
groom.
The mother of the bride wore
a full-length gown of mauve or-
ganza over taffeta with silk em-
broidery, matching accessories
and carried matching purse with
corsage of pink cymbidium or-
chids with purple statice. The
groom's mother wore a full-
length gown of lime brocaded
dialon and wore a shoulder cor-
sage of yellow cymbidium or-
chids and yellow statice.
The Church was suitably dec-
orated with baskets of white and
mauve gladioli and shasta daisies
for the candlelight ceremony.
Fcllowing a reception at the
Knights of Columbus Hall on Min-
ton Drive, the couple left on a
honeymoon in Freeport,
Bahamas. The bride's going away
outfit consisted of a pale blue
ensemble of matching coat and
dress with royal blue accessories
and a shoulder corsage of pink
cymbidium orchids and violet
statice.
Mr. and Mrs. Balog will re-
side in Kitchener.
Several showers were held
for the bride prior to her mar-
riage from which she received
many beautiful gifts. Her friends
from Brussels honoured her on
March 11. Brantford friends held
a shower March 19, Kitchener
friends held a shower on March
28 and neighbors held a shower
on April 5. The nurses from
St. Mary's Hospital, wher e the
bride is on staff, held a shower
on April 12.

groom's mother wore a powder
blue crimplene dress, white
accessories and corsage of white
mums.
The reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents which
was decorated with a pink and
mauve colour scheme.
The couple will reside at
R.R,1, Walton.
BALOG - BRONSON
Marni Elizabeth, only daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bronson
of Kitchener (formerly of Brus-
sels) was married to Michael
Steven Balog, only son of Mr.
and Mrs. Michael Balog of Kit-
chener. The marriage took place
in St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church, Kitchener, with Rev.Dp.
Finlay Stewart officiating on
April 15, 1972 at 7 P.M. The
wedding music was provided by
Mr. J. Johnston, organist and
Mrs. James Snyder as soloist
