How about our scores of young people who are active in many worthwhile projects, in com- munity, church, hospital, work- ing with underprivileged and handicapped children, with other ,teenagers who are bewildered, or drug addicts? Despite the fact' that there are those who defy law and order, those who, con- fused and embittered, or lack- ing moral fibre, turn to drugs, don't condemn all young people. Our responsible, concerned, younger generation far out- number the disoriented rebels of society. What if some do wear their hair long, have ideas that don't conform to ours, have visions of a life that is not too concerned with our constant battle for material things? Our generation has not made an out- standing success of things. They will inherit, and have to solve, the problems we have created. * * * * * Charles Thomas, Reeve of Grey Township has signified his intention to toss his hat into the Federal political arena.
