Bride-Elect,
Miss Connie Nethery (bride
elect of this month) was honored
at a shower by neighbours, re-
latives and friends who gathered
'in Knox United Church Sunday
School room on Saturday evening.
The room was decorated in piiik
and white bells and streamers.
Following a short program of
contests, little Karen Glousher
entertained with a tap dance ac-
companied at the piano by her
mother, the Snell sisters
favoured with two duets.
An address to the guest of
honour was read by Mrs. Clif-
ton Walsh. She then was pre-
sented with many gifts by her
sisters, Brenda, Denise and
Angela. The bride-to-be was
assisted in opening her gifts
by her mother, Mrs. Alex Nethery
and Mrs. George Nesbitt. Connie
thanked everyone for their gifts.

It was decided to cater for
a smorgasbord dinner for ap-
proximately 35 road superinten-
dents on April 26 and conveners
of this are Mrs. Clarence Hanna.

It was also agreed to cater
for a dinner for 125 from the
staff of F.E.Madill Secondary
School on June 27 inthe Women's
Institute Hall.

embroidery, trimming the lower
edge of a. garment and sewing
on lace, The girls sewed a sample
and worked on their garments.
Mrs. Peter Chandler demon-
strated facings, understitching
and casing for elastic.
Helen Chandler was elected
to be the commentator for the
group's fashion show.
