many of the 38 new nations, a
great wave of prosperity is
taking place. Some cities have
increased three times their
population with new schools and
building developments every-
where. In Ghana alone 30% of
the budget is spent on education.
This stunning progress achieved
within a few years accents many
serious problems faced by 8
million people of Biafra, i. e.
unemployment, housing shortage,
lack of medical care for orphans
and an acute shortage of funds
for everything. Nevertheless
these• people are trying to
forge a new life amidst the rubble.
